Nobody is running Windows 10 mail over Outlook in a business setting. To not be able to share notes via Outlook is a huge barrier to adoption of OneNote in a business environment.

    Big need for this!

As a workaround, you can install Print to OneNote from the store and print the page. Not at friendly but its an alternative. You could also do email to OneNote.

    Send to OneNote: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9MVJM1Z9VWJD
    Email to OneNote: https://www.onenote.com/EmailToOneNote

This would be especially useful for business customers that use the full Outlook experience. Really, there should be 1 mail client for WIndows 10 and features should unlock / change based on O365 subscription and if you're using your corporate account or personal accounts.

The Windows 10 mail client cannot retain the formatting like Outlook and OneNote 2016 can.

Shared Links to Single Pages of Notes is being removed

We recently removed the ability to share single pages of notes. The previous single-page sharing implementation from personal OneDrive notebooks was our initial attempt to begin building out the larger feature set. However, this first step didn’t satisfy the needs of our customers and, compared to full notebook sharing, usage of the limited page sharing feature was very low. The technical path we need to take to build out the full OneNote page sharing experience requires us to deprecate the previous functionality until comprehensive work on these feature improvements can be completed.

What happens to page links that I’ve already shared with other people?

Previously shared links to single pages of notes will automatically expire as of June 15, 2018. After this date, recipients of shared page links will no longer be able to view these pages, unless a recipient…

You don't always want to show someone an entire notebook. There is some research, some notes, or a full thought out document created and it has to be copied, pasted, and completely re-formatted to share it to a larger audience. Might as well use Excel and Word to take notes if that is the case.

I don't think anyone is watching this Uservoice or the clipper one.

This feature is already available though I can't remember if its only available for insiders. I'm running Outlook for Mac 16.14 (180520)

I voted for the Windows idea and voted for this one. Since learning Markdown for text formatting in other apps (Slack and Trello), I can't live without it. Being able to quickly format text without taking your hands off your keyboard or interrupt your typing flow is critical.

    Hi there,
We would like to get more feedback on which of the two scenarios are more important to you:
    1. The ability to create new pages in OneNote from markdown? OR
    2. The ability to recall OneNote pages as markdown?

    Chaz Weber commented  ·

I'd like to see some kind of movement on this as well since its been gathering feedback for almost 2 years. Using Markdown in apps like Slack and Trello have been time savers and are a quick way to format text when you're really cranking away on notes, communicating code blocks, etc.

    Chaz Weber commented  ·

I think number 1 would be the primary feature with number 2 being a "nice to have". Markdown is a great way for coder and non-coders to take notes especially if you know how to type. You can use simple character combination to format your notes without taking your hands off the keyboard.

    Chaz Weber commented  ·

I would love to create pages in Markdown right inside Onenote as well. I can type a lot quicker than writing so being able to format notes while taking them without leaving the keyboard would be a huge time saver. I've used editors like Atom to do this but reading the formatted version of the file on another machine or a mobile device is problematic since the software and plugins need to be installed on each device I want to view my notes on. OneNote would easily solve that problem and would be Business friendly to our corporate users.

Somehow merge Wunderlist and Onenote to make the "defacto" productivity app. Onenote relies too much on Outlook for Windows for any advanced scheduling and planning features.
