Wow - it's so frustrating that I now need to go to WORD to get my symbol and then come back to OneNote. Bring back this useful feature!

Nigel - that's not correct. The 2016 version allowed for versions of pages to be accessed so this is not the reason this is not happening (in my opinion). Also, the workaround you suggested won't work as the new page is stamped with the current data and time - I need to be very specific about the date and time I enter as I want it to align to meeting dates and start times and I want to prepare the page beforehand.

I get (reading these posts) that there is an option to set a page as a default template. That doesn't work for me as I need different templates at different points and want to be able to CHOOSE from a suite of templates that I've created.

    Jay Garland commented  ·

I use OneNote for my business and use templates to create forms which I can then load and fill as required. Now I have to copy and paste pages instead of simply creating a template and using it easily when needed. Really need and want this feature back.

The advantage of the backup facility is if you made changes to a page and then wanted to retrieve the information, you could access the page that was backeup and retrieve the information easily. The new system doesn't allow this.

I use SECTION GROUPS a lot and not being able to collapse them on my Android device means LOTS of scrolling past sections I don't need. Having the collapse option (like the desktop version) would be really useful and TIME SAVING!

With OneNote 2016, under FILE > OPTIONS, I could select where backups were stored. With OneNote 2019 the backstage FILE view is gone and along with it the ability to set the backup location.

I have a C:\ drive which is small and kept for WINDOWS + APPS. I have a D:\ drive of 1TB which is for data.

With OneNote 2016 I had my OneNote backup set to D:\ drive. With the new OneNote I don't have that option. It must be putting data on C:\ drive somewhere as when I'm doing intensive work on OneNote, my C:\ drive fills up and stops me from working. :(

I use lots of custom tags and to manually recreate them on another platform took way too much time. Yes - synchronising custom tags will be a great feature.

I get that Nick - and that's what I'm doing. It's not a straight-forward process though and it would be better if you could delete unwanted templates from within the OneNote document itself. The fact that there's a greyed out option there to DELETE TEMPLATE suggests that the function is there - it's either not accessible for some reason or no longer working.

Thank you for voting on this feature. I’d like to gather more information on what you would like to see in the future. I have posted 4 questions below —

    1. How often do you tag a note/item with multiple tags?
    a) Never
    b) Rarely
    c) Sometimes
    d) Often
    e) Always

    2. Can you provide an example, from a recent instance, in which you applied multiple tags? e.g. “todo” & “critical” and “todo” & “important”

    3. Some of you commented that it’s important to see all the tags for each item in the summary list, not just the first tag for an item. If multiple tags were shown for each item on the summary list, what would this allow you to do next?

    4. When finding tags in OneNote 2016, which tag list is most important to you? Why?
    a) Summary Page
    b) Tags Summary Pane
