  1. Sticky Notes icon on Android home screen

One thing I'd like to see is a link to sticky notes on my Android home screen so I don't have to open One Note to get to them.

  2. Middle-Click to Open a New Note

A middle-click on the taskbar icon should open a new note just like it opens a new window in Edge. This would make adding new notes a quick one click action no matter what state the app is in, especially for anyone that has it pinned to the taskbar.

  3. Provide Mechanism for note position saving, and rearranging

Whenever I undock my laptop, I need to rearrange the location of my sticky notes. It's very annoying. It would be nice to have some kind of "layout" mechanism or way to use a third party tool to save the window positions.

As it stands right now, the sticky windows have no identifying way to "grab" them for repositioning or sizing by the Windows API. So no good way to programmatically manage their positioning.

  4. Allow export of stickies (csv? txt? xml?)

Allow an easy way to export stickies. Sure we can cut and paste, but it's just not conducive to backing up and restoring. Yes, we can backup ProgramData folder, but that doesn't allow you to restore individual stickies.

  5. Sticky notes in Insert tab

What if you add a sticky notes feature to the Insert tab? We should be able to resize them, change the background colour and change the background style.

Imagine OneNote partnering with Post-it so users can have Post-it notes...

The benefit of introducing sticky notes is so we can have the page use one background style while the sticky note uses another. For example, a rule lined sticky note on a grid lined page.

  6. Switch between Navigation, Search, and Recent Notes using ctrl + mouse wheel

I've been trying to get over why I don't like the Onenote navigation setup for a long time.

I think something helpful is to use all three of the tools on the left side, which are "Navigation", "Search" and "Recent Notes" represented by icons of the books, magnifying glass, and clock.

In order to make it feel less "fiddly" to switch between these modes, what if a shortcut could quickly toggle through them. I like the idea of using the mouse wheel + something because the mouse wheel is already more of a "vertical" motion, which could match up and…
