Hand in and plagiarism tool
Hi again! One thing that keeps teachers tied to multiple platforms is the ability to control hand-in assignments and plagarism. My last idea about timing tabs and pages to become visible and invisible for students would solve one part of this, but an automated plagarism control, like Ephorus, of selected tabs and pages, would be a great addition as well. Again, great potential here!

Insert a video into content library, making it easier for flipping lessons
For example, if I create an animated lesson in an app like Show Me or I clip a video from YouTube, I want to insert it. However, when I do it now, it gives me just the audio. Or I have to download it to OneDrive or Video Channel--which takes AGES to do (at least in China). If it was easier to add and playback video in notebooks (as opposed to links to YouTube, which is blocked in some countries like China), then we can flip our classrooms easier.

Class notebook students alphabetize by last name.
Currently when you create a class and add students, the student sections are alphabetized by first name. Most grading apications and other systems go by last name. If it would order them by last on creation would save a lot of time.
37 votesWe are pleased to let you know that this feature is now available in the new Class Notebook Addin (Sort by Last Name) . Thank you for all your comments and feedback in helping us make OneNote better for everyone to use. Office Lens would be a great app to use with Onenote class notebooks.
Unfortunately, Office lens doesn't work with office 365 accounts!! This is really annoying- our whole school uses office 365- if I want students to photograph their project work at the moment, they have to either email their pics to themselves, download them and then re upload them into their class notebooks. If they could take a pic, and upload it DIRECTLY to their class notebook, they'd be much more likely to do it! at the moment, they cant be bothered. Class notebooks were a great step forward for onenote- this would make it even better

A way for students to submit an assignment and, once submitted, not be able to access it or any other students view it.
This is a great tool!! We have many faculty that are looking for a way, either here or in SharePoint, to have students submit assignments but then not be able to access them anymore (deadline). Also, no student could view others' assignments. I know students could email the assignment to the faculty; however, they (the faculty) do not want to drag many emails into one spot, they would like the students to "drop" the assignments into a section or folder (SharePoint) that could then no longer be viewed or accessed by them or other students.

Make a shared Groupwork area for a group within your class
I would like to be able to set up section/pages within a notebook that can only be edited and/or viewed by a small group within the class.
e.g. I want 5 groups of 5 students each to have their own private shared area.
Just having one large shared area for everyone is quite limiting...

Mapping students in OneNote 2016 is much more efficient than in Windows 10 OneNote. It would be great if that was available before OneNote
Mapping students in OneNote 2016 is much more efficient than in Windows 10 OneNote. It would be great if that was available before OneNote 2016 was no longer supported. I would also love the option of having the ability to have the sections be at the top instead of on the side. Small computes lose too much space.

Edmodo LMS not listed on OneNote Online Class Notebook Connections Menu option
Microsoft state that OneNote will connect to the Edmodo LMS, however when using OneNote Online on a Mac computer. Can the Edmodo LMS be added to the OneNote > Class Notebook > Connections > Connections > Select Your LMS or SIS menu please?

Add Connections button to LMS in the Class Notebook Add-in within OneNote UWP (Windows 10 Universal App)
I have been using OneNote 2016 with the Class Notebook Add-In that has The Connections button to connect to an LMS such as Schoology, Map Class Notebook, and Map Students for grading within OneNote. But I do not see those same features on the Class Notebook Add-In with the OneNote UWP Windows 10 App. Please add these same features to the OneNote UWP Windows 10 App.

Incorporating Turnitin.com
I would like a plagiarism check function for grading essays. Currently my school uses Turnitin.com but I don’t prefer the grading features (I want to be able to hand write my comments like we can in OneNote).

Allow teacher to have the option to make a tab not editable in the student section of Class Notebook.
Making individual student tabs not editable by students but only by teacher can help the student see documentation without the student deleting or changing the information.

Teachers should be able to distribute pages to all students from the iPad app as well as the computer
As it is now we are only able to distribute pages to all students from a desktop. It would be much easier if this function were available on the iPad app as well

Permissioned Groups in Collaboration Space
I often like to use the Collaboration Space for group work where all students in the group can contribute. The challenge is that all students in the class can both view and edit the work of other groups. Especially when I'm doing class competitions, this is not a good thing.
In a recent article (link below), there was an API update to allow this, but it's at the IT level, not the teacher level. I want the ability to change these permissions, not just password-protect, as a teacher please!

Review Student Work for iPad.
I use my iPad Pro to mark assignments in oneNote and provide written formative feedback to my students. It is really inefficient to have to go in and out of every student's notebooks. I would like to be able to review the student work just like i can using the ClassNotebook add in on my computer!

Ability to distribute pages/content to a "group" tab in the student notebook (not just sections).
I like that "group" tabs can be easily added to students' individual notebooks (in addition to section tabs), but then I would like to be able to distribute pages/content to the group tab that I created for the students. I couldn't find a way to do this. Thanks for your consideration!
