  1. Restrict view to the width size of a normal notebook

I want a mode or an option to restrict the size of the screen/paper we see. I do not like seeing an infinite amount of space because when I write my notes I write in an unorganized way. And when I go back to see my notes they are all over the place. So I would like to have an option that restricts how much space we get to the right.

  2. search text in images

Search for text in images within onenote. Seems obvious but I can't find in existing suggestions. You can do it in evernote so I know it's doable. In fact, one note will automatically convert to text in position in a photo you take, and square up the perspective (if you want, or can keep as photo). I would really like one note to do these 2 things. thanks!

  3. Immersive Reader edit text

Hi, my students would find it very useful to edit text in the immersive reader.

  4. distribute pages

The ability to distribute multiple pages simultaneously would be very useful. For certain materials I like to keep things on separate pages and right now I can only distribute one page at a time.

  5. Make it bilingual so teachers and students can use their mother tongue while working.

It helps both teachers and students work at ease using their mother tongue.

  7. Collapsable list does not work in table

The collaspsable list is good to keep notes clean. But, it doesn't work when inside a table. It would be great if it works inside tables as well. I like to use tables to put lists inside a single note but somehow separated. In other words, I like to use MS planner style lists, but those lists are not really as important to be listed in the MS planner list level. (Say list of things to check when revising a paper).

  8. Create a similar experience to Jupyter Notebooks

Create cells/blocks or areas which you can shade and keep sections of text together in such a way they have an execution context.

For example, I can write sample Python code, execute and see the results underneath -or inside the section similar to Jupyter notebooks

Support different languages: C#, VB, VBA, JavaScript, R, Python, etc. It's for coding, exploration and learning.

Provide an export feature that can export to a VS.Net project, or open in VS Code or something.

Basically tie in the notebooks.azure.com into OneNote some kind of way.

  9. Dock to Desktop

I’m a student and I like to look at text book on the left and write notes on the right side. With office 2016 I could do this perfectly but recently I upgraded to office 2019 and OneNote Windows 10 app and I can’t. I know I can spilt screen with windows key and arrows but that still keeps the one note menus on the side and above open which makes screen too cluttered. Please add dock to desktop in One Note App windows 10.

    Thank You

  10. Option to remove the gray scare where we write down text and possibiliy to add as backgroung but possible to select text. All with icons.

The grey square should optionnal. Like Word, clic anywhere on the page and be able to write without viewing the gray scale. A button should give the option of viewing or no those grey square. And paste as background everything with possibility to select text and underline it.

  11. Don't display my name in the 'shared' email

I am responsible for deploying a class notebook for training curriculum at work, however I am not the teacher. When I deploy the notebook, the students receive an automatic message that appears to be from me indicating I have shared a notebook with them. This creates confusion because the students do not know (nor should they know) who I am. We have an Anchor Facilitator who is the main point of contact for the students - and I am the Technical Anchor (responsible for enabling the technology behind the scenes). It would be great if the automatic message student's receive…

  12. When add a teacher, can we close sections (e.g. student work) and certain sections read only (e.g. content library)?

When add a teacher, to manage the settings like for the 'general sharing' hide sections (e.g. student work) and certain sections read only (e.g. content library)?

Ability to "take back" a page that has been distributed to student sections (not just "undo distribute page" of the LAST page distributed, but a way to look at a list of distributed pages, choose one, and then undo it)

  15. Lock for text

Good day! Please make it possible to block text in OneNote to edit it, rather than the entire sheet.
If this function is, then tell me how?
    Thanks!

  18. Teacher feedback - review

It would be good to be able to 'review' students work on a page, similar to the 'review' function on a Word document. That way the ideas/corrections come up on the side of the page

  20. It is very difficult to mark and give feedback on student work. Notify students when work is posted

Notify students when work is posted into the classroom for them to complete. Also, marking student work is difficult and time consuming. Perhaps add he comment tool as in Word doc or something more like google docs or google classroom would be great. At present, to give feedback, you need to copy and paste to a word doc, add comments, save and then send back to students. I don't want to write over student work., or have to notify them by mail every time a task is posted.
