turn off math assistant
Math teachers do not like the math assistant in OneNote for students, especially the younger sturdents. We need the ability to turn off this feature PERMANENTLY and not just for a period of time.
Also the turn off feature does not get turned off in the iPad version of OneNote

even if you can disable this feature permanently, they will be using Photomath, Wolfram & math.microsoft.com
just deal with it and talk with your students that they need to use their brains -

if the student stops using microsoft math tool he or she would search for it in google maybe wolfram alpha . we couldnt stop them doing that . it is pointless to remove a extremely useful function like ink to math

Would math teachers like it if Microsoft made Math Assisant customizble for the teacher? That way the teacher can pick/choose how Math Assisant will help the student versus just banning it completely?
It’s a useful tool and function and I believe that by allowing it to be more customizable, it can help both the student in learning the material AND the teacher in teaching the course.
Technology is neither friend nor enemy to education. It is how it’s used (IMHO).

I agree with the above comment. Especially with virtual learning, the ability for a teacher to completely control this feature is critical. Please make it possible for the teacher to disable the feature PERMANENTLY.
