Class Notebook tool: change the distribute page feature to keep page/subpage structure when distributing multiple pages to students.
Currently, all subpages are "promoted" to the standard page level when they are distributed to students, so that any subpage organization is lost.

We actively working on this, see this blog for more details: http://aka.ms/OneNoteJune2019

If the structure I have made is important I wonder if it's smarter to use copy-paste instead of using the page-distribution-tool. Or will I loose some other functionality then?
The best solution would of course be if MS managed to do implement this... :) -

Once I take the time to organize all the pages and subpages the way I want them, It is really a pain to lose that work. This becomes especially difficult when we, as teachers, have to waste our time resetting subpages on the multiples of notebooks/sections/ students notebooks with multiples of students with multiples of subjects. PLEASE GET THIS FIXED. I have spent hours resetting subpages in my students areas.

Can you please give us any update date on this or a rough idea of when I can expect to see change?

Has this issue been resolved?

This should also be a feature of the Windows 10 OneNote UWP app. (which only allows distribution of one page at time)

Has there been any movement on this, or a rough idea of when I can expect to see change? I would really love the ability to distribute projects to students with certain resources set as various ranges of subpages.

YES! This is a simple, basic feature that should already be in place. PLEASE FIX.

I am using Class Notebook for the first time this school year and I am disappointed that this feature is not available. I organize mu pages for a reason and I would like them to appear this way for my students as well. Please help!

Agreed. I would like my students' OneNote sections and pages to be organised the exact way my Content Library is.

I have the same problema, and now I have to go to each student to undo the "promotion" of the subpage to page.I hope it will be solved very soon.

Things seem to change in OneNote, but I have had success where I ctrl clicked (selected) a parent page and subpages and then distributed page and it kept the hierarchy.

I came here to say this!! It used to do it, but the "update" made it worse! I hate it and many of my students do too. I create organization for a reason, and it means nothing now. Bring it back!!

This is really important -- it helps the students with organization.

For some reason, my sub pages lost their form of being a sub page today. This has worked where it has kept its form before. Can it maintain being a subpage when distributed?
