A much richer LMS integration with the likes of Google Classroom
I am really enjoying that I can create an assignment in OneNote Classbook and send it to my students via Google Classroom. This is great because it creates an entry on the Google Classroom calendar and parents can see this.
What I don't like are the following:
The Google Classroom assignment does not send the students anything. A link to their work would be a minimum.
When i grade a students work, I cannot get Google Classroom to show that the work has been completed. The students are also not able to indicate via OneNote that the have submitted their work completed (I can only see that they are working on it).
I cannot ingest google Docs into OneNote to make use of the audio feedback and rich marking tools.
I am unable to use other LMS sources such as Moodle at the same time.
The automatic updating of students in the class is not available but requires intervention.
The use of groups in OneNote is not really possible.
The ability to embargo an assignment (stop editing) after a deadline.
Overall the OneNote has a long way to go to catch up to Google Classroom and Andrew Stillman's addons.
