Add a notification when student assignments are turned in/need to be graded
having to scroll up and down my classes to see which boxes have been bolded is not an efficient use of my time. I would like to see a feature that allowed the students to submit their work in a specific location in OneNote, that is organized by class, that also organizes completed work that needs to be graded.
I agree with all of these comments
I'm surprised (and disappointed) that over 4 years after this suggestion was first made, it is still not possible to receive a notification when pupils have submitted work - all the more so now that every teacher in the country is setting and marking work remotely.

I wholeheartedly agree.
Would like to know if there could be a notification for a teacher when a student has submitted an assignment (this would be handy especially when it has been submitted late and all other students' work has been assessed).
"There should be a button that students can click that would automatically alert the teacher to work that needs to be looked at"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE :)

I completely agree! This is possible on Google Classroom but not OneNote

There should be a button that students can click that would automatically alert the teacher to work that needs to be looked at. For example, if a student was absent and wants their work to be graded after the teacher has already graded all of the class's work, that student could do the work and 'alert' the teacher to look at it. Teachers may have a separate 'inbox' or something in the notebook where all of this is sent.

It would be great to have a button that a student can notify a teacher when they have completed a task. In return great for a teacher to be able to click a button to notify student they have provided feedback or marked their work on a OneNote page.
This will be available through Microsoft Classroom, which is being released this summer. For more information, visit this blog post from the Office team https://blogs.office.com/2016/04/14/announcing-new-experiences-for-teachers-and-students-in-office-365-education/.

This would be the cats meow. An automatic grader and automatic grade recorder feature would also be a great addition.
