Print PDF to OneNote: Documents with mixed page orientation
If you print a PDF with mixed page orientation (portrait/landscape) to OneNote, the printerdriver turns the pagesgrafiks into the choosen portrait/landscape layout. However . one of both orientations will be turned by 90 degrees always.
Same problem still exists with Office Pro Plus 2016/OneNote v2002 build 12527.20242.
Using a pdf document in Adobe reader where the document has both portrait and landscape pages, and then printing using the "send to OneNote 2016" with the "auto portrait/landscape" button selected. However, all the pages show up in OneNote all oriented the same way; usually all printed in portrait mode.
This still appears to be an issue. When you print a PDF OneNote16 is not able to automatically detect page orientation in a file that has a mix of portrait and landscape pages. The final printout in OneNote is all one way or the other.
So, this was reported as a problem a year and4 months ago, and it is still the same today. Fail One Note. It should just automatically read how it is in the PDF. Please fix this!
Yes, agree with this.
The quick fix is to open the PDF with Adobe and then click Print and change the layout there, but that defeats the purpose/quickness of using the Insert >Print file attachment feature. You should be able to select the inserted file and then rotate, flip, etc.
Thanks for reporting this issue! We will be contacting Joerg privately to get more information to help us understand the problem.
