Using office lens without internet/OneNote
Office Lens would be perfect if we could also use it without any Synchronisation (OneNote/Internet). If the Picture would just to be found in the Gallery (under saved Pictures e.g.)
Why does officelens need internet connection to save scan as pdf file? Why can´t it just save the pdf as it does with the jpg?
Let me add to this... and hope that someone in the Office Lens team sees it.
I would love to find a way to link my windows phone and my surface pro 3 so that I can use them together with Office Lens when internet is not available.
Here is the scenario:
I go to trade shows and would LOVE to take pictures of things I see, or snap pictures of business cards. Unfortunately, you cannot really do that with the Surface Pro 3 because of the awful infinite focus camera. So, I get around that by snapping pictures using office lens on my phone, which will sync to OneNote, and eventually show up on my Surface Pro 3.
Unfortunately, this is not a quick process, and requires internet access (often unavailable at these trade shows, particularly the ones in Hong Kong).
Yes, I can take the pictures, and they will EVENTUALLY sync, but I cannot really get the picture onto a onenote page, where I can then add notes.
Yes, there are workarounds, but I really shouldn't need to go to that much trouble, should I?
So... is there some way that you could allow Office Lens to sync bluetooth or something?
Hi, It would be nice to have the option to switch both the auto-save in gallery and auto-sync to onenote on/off according to will. I often encounter situations where that option would be highly useful. Auto-saving everything just piles up clutter in one's pictures folder. Also, the switch is available in many of the competing scanner apps. If adding the option isn't too difficult I sincerely hope MS would implement in the nea future. Br, PowerUser

Hi Ali. I'm Yu, Program Manager in Office Lens team. Thank you for your feedback.
Actually, Office Lens allows you to save your images without internet connection. Once you get authenticated with your MSA, your not-yet-started upload will be started in background. Also, the images you took with Office Lens are stored in your camera roll.
If you have any questions, please let me know more!
