Better Cut & Paste
copy and paste from apps like notepad++ or from microsoft sql server management studio, loose there syntax highlighting and changes the spacing,etc.. (if you copy for notpad++ into Word and then into onenote it works, but is tedious)

Hi to all visitors of this page 😊
My sympathy to all of us, masochist, who insist to stick to M$.
When we come to these forums, it’s Microsoft, so the is of course, no there is no workaround, and you are not the only one.
We know that the second we start to type the Google search…
Why M$ still does not listen their users!!
And why they don’t use their tools inhouse??
I just find today on my own the workaround of paste first in WORD, copy and paste in ONENOTE.
But it gives to much work to do the content paste and then paste the link to the source.
NOTE: Use keyboard shortcut WIN+C on Windows 10 to copy and paste more than one content from the clipboard.
In case you find some software or extension that do the correct job with one click please post here.
Microsoft clippers do not work also.
Good luck. We will support Microsoft till the end and continue collecting the annoyances.
Absolutely needed, currently have to hop from SSMS to Word to Onenote to keep syntax highlighting

The following 3 User Voice requests all want the same thing. (there may be more I stopped looking on the first page)
The ability to paste "Rich Text" color coded syntax without losing the colors.
This is much more important now as the workaround of pasting via Word recently stopped working.
As lots of folks use OneNote as their repository for handy code snippets & "How to do" reminders, it would be nice if the ONE Note team took this request seriously.
Also cut/paste is painfully slow or "sticky" in that if I input command keys (x+v) then it may or may not delete the text the first time. Often I will have to hit the commands three or four times just for the text to disappear. Ditto with pasting/or it will retain something else I've cut or pasted instead.
EverNote actually keeps the SQL syntax highlighting. Can't let it happen in EverNote and not in OneNote!
ON would be fantastic for a scripts repository (for instance) if it would abide by < whitespace > tags in pasted HTML. When one pastes HTML into a ON page, line breaks and CR characters are lost, even while colors and fonts are maintained. Because it appears to ignore the whitespace tags.
