I think paper size on note taking it's very important, and to be honest I don't understand why Microsoft get rid of it. Be able to have paper size guidelines when taking note instead of just when you printing is awesome, cause you can control your hand writing to be on exact size and not across the border ( yeah, hand writing instead of typing)
So many people asking for this option for SO LONG so why is it so hard for 135325213 developers to implement it?!
Yes please stubborn product managers of Microsoft use ur big brain to understand this problem its not rocket science. Please give paper size option i don't want your stupid infinite pages
This has been a problem for a long time and for a lot of people, and seems to be quite an easy feature to implement, since it already exists in the OneNote 2016 version... Or simply adding continuous/infinite standard page size templates like A4, Letter, etc to the Rule Lines menu, doesn't sound too hard to code... Why hasn't this been done yet??? Seems like a no-brainer to most of us here, especially students.

I agree. The paper size feature is really very important to me.
Or at least there should be customized rule lines to indicate specific paper sizes.
Please consider updating the feature.

I have to agree with this request. I am currently paying for office 365 and Onenote is one of the apps I use the most for school work. However, it is cumbersome to have to make a "template" and copy it over and over so that I can get the correct zoom for my homework. The built in "template" function does not work effectively as I can't even see where the pages that I've saved as templates are or even choose from them. Hence, why I just keep a page named "template" and copy over and over. Also, printing is a nightmare with the current state of Onenote. Pages get cutoff at important sections and it removes the continuity between one page and the next. With the push for online learning this is a great opportunity to make Onenote a "virtual notebook" per se.

I agree. Having this option makes submitting and organizing my school's work much easier.

Showing graphically the paper pages boundaries is important:
- One student gave me a report written in Onenote, converted to PDF, and I found that PDF would crash some readers. After some time I found an extremely long PDF which just goes over finite memory buffers of the PDF readers.
- Other reports just diverge hand written size, from top to bottom, due to the lack of indicating the size of the page. Some hand writing gets so large that thicker lines look the same as thin lines.
I am very repented of the choice of a Surface for taking notes at university because of the absence of a selectable size on the workspace !! I can't stand this and I use paper ONLY for this reason!! I can't believe microsoft lives in paleolithic yet

All I need is just an on/off button to show guidelines for letter size. when on, then the page will look like a column of multiple rows of paper size guidelines. infinity remains as is, these would be just visual guides... I can draw these guides myself, but it's just messy and a hack...
Especially now that school is online, I'm doing my homework and exams on OneNote. It is a pain ********** that very important things get cut off When I save the page as a PDF to send to my teacher, and I have to manually adjust the position of each problem so that my teacher don't get cut off graphs and calculation....

Please resolve it i'm tired from this problem
it is showing infinite page option only
This feature was good in office 2013
Limited Width with UNLIMITED height is VERY important for the use of onenote, PLEASE ADD IT!
I have used OneNote for the past 3 years as a college student and my use-case tends to be taking hand-written notes with a stylus on my two-in-one laptop. Not being able to control the page width leads to poorly optimized printing and makes my life significantly more difficult when turning in problem sets and other work to teachers or sharing my notes with friends. The built-in printing to PDF function does not work very well and not being able to restrict the width of the documents forces me to go between OneNote 2016 and the current version just to turn in my work. Or even worse to take screenshots of my work in OneNote and paste them into word documents for a functioning printing system. Especially in the times that we are living in with more and more work transitioning online, not being able to easily mark-up pdfs inserted into my notes and printing them out again significantly complicates my workflow and working on this problem would simlify my life and save me a lot of time in the future! I love OneNote and hope to keep using it, but seriously guys this is a constant source of headaches for me with your product.
Not having control of "paper size," which may be more accurately referred to as workspace size is frustrating enough that I return to my notebook pages in Onenote 2016 to autosize the workspace and make them large enough to hold all notes, pictures and doodles. Super important feature and the one I miss most!
this should have been included by default as it is with other office applications..
force print area when printing to 'fit' vertically or set landscape/portrait.. printing as a useable pdf...
I think its just part of the scheme to keep you buying storage because they dont let you keep an offline copy of a notebook so why let you print it hard copy or PDF.
yah very nice wella
There are times when work has to be printed or even just saved as a pdf file
The infinite paper size being the only option forces me to keep using OneNote 2016 or a simple pdf editor instead of OneNote for Windows 10.
No paper size system is perfect for all uses, so there a range of variations have been adopted for various situations and industries and you still decided not to put this feature on onenote for windows 10 which makes it useless for use
Choosing a size is one of the most common future that is used on onenote
HoweverIt is impossible to export anything from OneNote if I cannot tell where the page ends
What the **** did you think of while creating onenote for windows 10 with out a paper size option ??????????????
I hope some of the developers can read and understand that paper size is a really important future for students painters etc..........
i hope you have the opportunity to work on this feature on the future and make keep your customers happy with your products but for now i can say onenote for windows 10 is a low standard app
I like microsoft products and i like onenote its my favorite application that i used so far but onenote for windows 10 lacks alot of futures (paper size one of the most important futures )but if you add this future i might
think if i should use it or stick to my ipad pro
I am HIGHLY disappointed in the fact that I cannot adjust the page size. By simply not having this option, I've been forced to use another product instead of One Note. PLEASE bring this feature back!
It is very dumb from Ms side to remove this option.
HERE IS A SIMPLE WORKAROUND: just edit notebook in One Note 2016, make page A4 (or whatever you miss), go back to One Note for stupid W10 and page will NOT be infinite anymore. Simply use this as your page template.
Cheers for all (except Ms dev team)
