OneNote is Awful, kill it and bring back OneNote 2016.
Windows 10 "Metro" "Windows Store" OneNote App is Awful, kill it and bring back OneNote 2016.

Amen, my fellow commenters. OneNote 2016 is the best! This new monster is a pitiful excuse.
That's right. Kill the UWP app and bring back the original OneNote which was the reason why you got your users in the first place! People do not like the UWP app, it's ********. Start working on the 2016 version and please also remove 2016 from its name!
Yes! Please please please restore OneNote2016 and further develop from there. Your current OneNote really is marginally useful at best. The layout sucks, the features are very limited, and YOU ALREADY HAVE A MUCH BETTER PRODUCT IN ONENOTE2016!!!
If you bring 2016 support to a full stop then I'm switching to Evernote or MIRO boards.
I used to think the same way. Now that they put in collapsible navigation, it is infinitely better than 2016. It took awhile to get used to but now ibcringe when I accidentally open up the wrong one.
They may not have killed OneNote, but they certainly started working on 2016 again!
As for the people praising UWP below, Microsoft has quietly swept UWP office under the rug and UWP OneNote should follow.
Please. Delete your idea. It males no sense.
Just because you need the 2016 version to work on your computer with mouse and keyboard.. doesnt mean everyone hás the same needs as you do.
Most people uses onenote for tablets and phones (students) like me, so we use Stylus pen and its worth because its Simple and efficient.
OneNote 2016 is thankfully still available from Microsoft for free download here:
I actually disgree with this, I believe UWP Apps will be the future across the entire Office suite, but where I do agree is that Microsoft need to improve this product and add a lot more features that are currently missing from the UWP version of OneNote
Agree! I LOVE the function to add documents e.g. PowerPoint and Word documents to OneNote in my planning for teaching where I can edit the documents there and then + save them without having to put a copy on the desktop. I use this function every day in class. Will not be moving over until OneNote2016 is completely dead or the other is improved.
I second this. Ok, not really. But at least make OneNote have all the features of OneNote 2016.
