Read/Unread and Owner marks between multiple devices still needs improvement...
Since OneNotes inception when you sync between multiple devices it treats each device as a separate user and shows content as being created by another user even on your own unshared notebooks/pages. It would be EXTREMELY helpful if content was recognized as owned by you based on your OneNote login and not by the device, but by the OneNote login. The same needs to be done for read/unread content. This would allow for more accurate self owned and shared notebooks/pages on who made edits AND if you actually have not read the content (vs you created it on another device or read it on another device). This is by far the most irritating issue with OneNote (across all platforms).

I very much agree with this. I've not seen the issue of being treated as a different user across devices (my changes always appear to be made by me - i.e. no initials next to the change), but the read/unread state is definitely independent. If I've read something on my laptop, my desktop should know this when I'm working from my office. My entire PC is synced with OneDrive, O365 and Microsoft accounts and my experience is wonderful except FOR THIS ONE SINGULAR issue. So now I need to read all my notes on one device, and then on my other device I need to mark everything as read manually to stay in sync. This is done to help surface things I've not read, and to not miss things that are important for me. I have 20 shared notebooks at my company and with my family, and manually keeping things in sync is really bad/annoying.
