Add new pages at the top of the list (and not at the end) and make them sortable
I love onenote but after a while the list of pages in a section can become very long. In order to enter the last notes of a section you always need to scroll down to the end of the list. A reversed order would make this much better. ANd adding new pages at the top of the list would be a first step. In addition makes the pages "sortable" aphabetically or by date of creation would also help
We are pleased to inform you that choosing whether the newly added page goes to the top or bottom of the list is currently available as a setting in OneNote for Windows 10.
Simply click on the “…” in the top right corner, choose Settings > Options and adjust that option under the “Navigation” category. The setting is called “Create new pages”.
Regarding the second portion of your feedback; “make them sortable”; we already have many posts regarding it, like the following one:
We will continuously merge similar posts together so that all the votes are accounted for but please feel free to vote on those ones as well.
Thank you for sharing your feedback and helping us make OneNote for Windows 10 better for everyone.
"In OneNote 2016, the newly added page will display at the bottom the page list and it is not available to change the behavior."
Microsoft, drop everything you're doing and fix this!!!
I'm using Office 365 version and Windows 10, but I don't have the three dots you're talking about. Where are they supposed to be found?

It does not work at all!!! It works only if adding a new page in Onenote App for Windows 10 by using "+ Page" button (when option "to the top" is set in Settings), however this is useless. We need to add the new pages to the TOP of this list mainly from Onenote Web Clipper and this always adds pages to the BOTTOM of the list!!! Very frustrating and making the Onenote app unusable :-( Users complain about this for many many years and nothing happens, or at least, I haven't discovered how to set it up

I don't see the "..." in the top-right corner. The only place I see that is next to the drop-down and when I click on that, I don't see "Settings". I only see the other tabs that I created.
When you have a section open, just place your cursor over the name of your current page at far right and if you move it towards the top you get an arrow box with a + in it. Click on the + and it will add the new page above the current one. If you move the cursor down on the current page name you get the arrow box and + sign below the current page. Click on the + and get a new page below your current page. Or just click on the "add page" with + sign and it will always add to the bottom. Just that simple. Others have stated this in the thread but evidently no one can read.

Dear MSFT - Your answer DOESN'T address OneNote 2016.

Dany Khalife, your posted answer is bogus. Please read the comments that are being posted here. This definitely does not apply to anything I've seen running on Windows 10.
What do you mean when you refer to "..."?
I haven't been able to follow your instructions because of this.
I have solution for the desktop version:
1. Hover over the existing page title.
2. Plus icon on the left side of the page title should appear.
3. Click on the plus and a new page will be created (above or below the existing page - it depends on where you hover - closer to the top or bottom border of the existing page title area).
Peeps, the desktop version is being depreciated. No further development on it. So the earlier you stop using it, the better. (I'm still stuck on it; but need to move soon...:))
With regards to your comment above

This option does not seem to be available on a computer with Windows 10. Where do we find the settings where we can make this change??
Not true for the desktop version - the version I use more. Intentionally ignoring the point?

I use OneNote a lot and also on my mobile device to collect notes. The desktop version when I open, I like to see my latest note on top so am used to saving new pages on top and is not inconvenient for me there. But when I add new note on my phone I would like the ability for my notes to be saved on top. Or have the ability to add page inside a page when I hold on a page on my phone.

The answer does not appear to work on OneNote 2016, desktop app. Is there any reason this is so difficult to add? It appears people have been asking for this for years.

This is so frustrating. Creating a page in the Windows version does not send new pages to the top of the list (unlike the option referred to in the thread that is available on the mobile app) so I need to scroll to the bottom of a very long list if the page was created on my PC. Can this get any harder?

There is no ... option as many people have listed. Could you re-explain this for someone with office 365 OneNote version 1902 click to run?

I don't see "...". I'm using MS Office Prof Plus 2013 desktop. Based on all of the comments below, it seems like you guys are missing the point here. Let's get this changed! What is the hold up? I would recommend making a setting/preference with the default being new pages go to the top but a user could change it back to new pages go to bottom if they had that need. I would guess most of us want new pages added to the top.
Does this (Feb 4th answer) apply to One Note on Microsoft Office 365 Pro Plus?
Does this then reflect on the desktop version?
