Create and assign a planner task from within onenote
I really want to be able to create and assign a planner task from within OneNote. That way we can keep the tasks all in planner and link to them in meeting minutes and such via OneNote.

It would be great to replicate the feature of To-do tags/flags in OneNote automatically generating tasks with a link in Outlook/To do, but with Planner instead (esp. given it's integration with MS Teams). Especially as in Planner individuals don’t just have visibility of tasks assigned to themselves, but a wider group on a kanban board.
Can we have an update? This was suggested 4 years ago but since COVID I imagine it is needed now more than ever

I am experimenting with the Decisions App which allows create of a meeting agenda in Outlook which then creates a OneNote or Word file in Teams that allows tasks to be created in planner directly in the context of meeting notes. This is a great tool. Is OneNote planning to expand its functionality to be able to accomplish everything that Decisions is doing? That would be great.

Thank You! This the exact problem we are currently facing. I think this would be a huge step forward as O365 is mainly about collaboration. So why not offer to manage tasks as a team from one note in planner

Agreed this would significantly improve Office 365 for use by Teams in the day to day management of projects
I use to exclusively manage tasks in Outlook... I, and my team, have now moved over to Planner (through Teams). It would be a huge productivity improvement for us if we could create and assign Planner tasks directly from our One Note meetings that we are using through Teams!
Would be very nice, becaus would allow the effectively manage taks out of meetings....
Planner is much better than outlook tasks. Please include this function... And let tasks be assignable to people who have direct access to the notebook.
Ability to create a Planner task from an OneNote page can make a big difference and allow users to manage & track tasks / action items generated in a meeting much more effectively!

Agreed, I take meeting notes with ON and set tasks with Planner, I've just added a bunch of tick-boxes to notes that need stuff done, and will dutifully transfer these to the associated plan but this seems daft and should be linked to provide this function.
