Adding a OneNote extension on the desktop for quick notes, replacing Sticky Notes
Dear people at Microsoft, I'm Amol Kulshreshtha from Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India. I am a user of Windows 10 on multiple devices. I'm in the habit of taking a lot of notes, and I use OneNote on my Lumia and Android device for that. While notes can be jotted quickly with a smartphone app, it's quite a chore to do the same on a PC. That's why I use Sticky Notes for taking notes while on the computer.
But recently, there were a lot of problems occurring with it, such as when I opened the PC,the notes simply failed to load and I was not able to access them later.
On the other hand, OneNote is a bug-free app that can be used across all devices and even online as a Chrome extension. But, notes cannot be pinned to the desktop, and that's a major disadvantage. That's why, I have an idea- Why don't you replace Sticky Notes, with an extension of OneNote? A white note will appear when Ctrl+N is pressed (or maybe take a note option is clicked from the Windows 10 Action Centre), a small snippet of note appears at the desktop. We can take notes, which will automatically get saved to the OneNote app running by our account, and also get synced across all devices. This will make the note-taking process faster.
If you ever ponder over this, please let me know!
Did you try Windows+N? It creates quick notes from anywhere. Play with AutoHotKey to adjust it's transparency or keeping it always on top or sticking it on desktop.
Native support from OneNote team for this kind of feature is not coming tomorrow, but I vote for you. Great idea.
