Send to OneNote Tool Function
In Office 2013, the "Send to OneNote Tool" had a simple function to insert PowerPoint into OneNote. I could open a PowerPoint or Word document, click on the tool, and OneNote would insert the printout into the section of my choosing. This function is gone in the new 2016 version. Please bring it back,. I used it DAILY as a graduate student.
I'm gong to have to pass on buying Office 365 until Microsoft brings back scanning images directly into OneNote.
Alternative is just "Print" --> Send to OneNote 2016.

Still missing in Office 2019. Bring it back! Why does Microsoft insist on making everything suck?
what the **** , I am going to uninstall office 2016 and install office 2013 to get one note tool
Bring back the send to One Note Tool

It was easy to use Win+shift+S key (earlier Win+S), and take a screen clipping. this would automatically add the clipping to clipboard AND/OR directly open the local one note notebook and add the clipping to a new page!
This was such a useful feature which we used hundreds of times everyday at work!
Now this functionality has been taken away, and it just copies to clipping to clipboard. All the extra steps to click/right click on one note icon in system tray, open one note notebook and then paste in the notebook -take too much time and defeats the purpose of using ONE NOTE in the first place!
I understand need to update Office apps, but why break something so useful ?

Please bring this function back. Send to OneNote from outlook has been an invaluable tool in the past.
Yes bring back the send t oone note tool
Yes, please, bring it back.
My company uses this constantly and will sorely miss it as we transition to Office 2016. We generate reports into excel and we only want to attach it to a Notebook to save space in both the hard drive and area in the OneNote File. Print to OneNote is not an option as takes way too much space up on the OneNote pages. Please bring back this functionality!

I used this button daily, as I often had to take meeting notes for calls I hold, and then send the notes out. This button was one of the best Office features, and it's gone because people didn't want it on their ribbon bar? Why remove the functionality, when you could have simply added it to a dropdown under send/receive in Outlook, etc?
Breaking Send To Onenote is heinous. This was an extremely important feature.
Also apparently gone is the "[Send to] OneNote" feature in Outlook, which can now apparently only send email messages to the cloud notebook and not to the notebook in use in the local app. I realize MS is trying to drive people to online notebooks; they have really screwed their user base here.
One Note is usefull only if one can use it to collect disparate data forms...
The loss of the 'insert image from scanner' is a killer as I use One note to archive had written notes.
The loss of 'insert' power point or word is a killer.
Why is MS so stupid?
I found this out after an update on my Surface Pro and I could no longer annotate PDFs I'd been working on. The Microsoft help desk people were very helpful looking for cures, which they did for a while before realizing that the feature was gone. Not good.

So you made one thing that is not 100% ****** and transformed it into pure ****?
Please make the **** thing work!
STILL NO FEEDBACK FROM MSFT?!
With nearly 500 comments and over 1000 votes??
What for is this uservoice then?? A scam to keep us think you care??
Such an obvious basic feature.. A shame.
I can't believe there has to be a UserVoice for this. This is what made OneNote great! To take a key feature away for unknown reasons is terrible. PLEASE bring this back or at least make it an option for people. I am in the IT industry and can't begin to tell you what a great tool this is.
really... what was the PURPOSE of removing this feature in 2016? print to is not the same because you cannot edit.

I use this daily, I need it back!
right place and post ? However, would like to vote for bringing back the "Insert from Scanner" .
Every device which is connected to pc should be good for content to insert.
