How can we improve OneNote for Windows?

Windows Store app: Disable spell check

The OneNote app does not offer any option to turn off the automatic spell check, which leads to a flood of red underlines in text fragments that are in a different language than the system default.

@OneNoteTeam: can you explain how to disable all these red underlines?
Settings -> Options -> Hide Spelling Errors has no effect.

        OneNote Team say...
"This feature in now available in OneNote for Windows 10."
Ah, NO! The option Settings -> Options -> Hide Spelling Errors (under Proofing)
is actually there, but turning it on HAS NO EFFECT! Red squiggly underlines persist.

        Where/how?

Installed version 17.7766.57951.0 (cannot find any update in the store): Einstellungen - Optionen - Korrekturhilfen: Rechtschreibfehler ausblenden does not seem to have any effect. Text is still full of red underlines.

(Sorry for German text, I don't have an English system available right now. The setting I mentioned is the last one on the "Options" page.)

Could you please give a hint how to disable the spell check in the standard Onenote app for Windows 10? I don't see any option to do that in the Onenote app.

As far as Windows 10 Mobile is concerned, problem seems to have been solved. It appears that a recent update has added option in settings to disable spell check underlines. (I couldn't find any official update statement.) After restarting the app on my phone all red lines are gone.

The option 'Hide spelling errors' in OneNote doesn't do anything for me. Still red underlines everywhere

It is very disturbing to be not able to disable the grammar correction in OneNote. Never seen this in any other decent programme. Should be changed

Hm, the same here. I would like to use OneNote App on Windows 10. But I have to make notes in several languages.

Come on, it's been exactly two years and this ridiculous annoyance has not been fixed!
For god's sake, let the user choose!

It is absolutely ridiculous that disabling spell check is not possible.
I'm writing in german and everthing is underlined in red !

I'm more and more getting convinced that MS offers this request for improvements Tool just to let users think they will be heard but in fact they are not even reading our requests. How difficult could it be to set the default for spell checking disabled and let the user decide to turn it on if he/she wants so.

Unbelievable that it is unpossible to disable spell checking.

@sidney: how does enabling those experimental features allow for disabling the onenote spell check altogether? I only see an additional proofing menu when right-clicking an underlined word
