Ability to share individual sections or pages (instead of entire notebooks)
Vote for this if you want to be able to share an individual section or page with other users, instead of only being able to share an entire notebook.
Shared Links to Single Pages of Notes is being removed
We recently removed the ability to share single pages of notes. The previous single-page sharing implementation from personal OneDrive notebooks was our initial attempt to begin building out the larger feature set. However, this first step didn’t satisfy the needs of our customers and, compared to full notebook sharing, usage of the limited page sharing feature was very low. The technical path we need to take to build out the full OneNote page sharing experience requires us to deprecate the previous functionality until comprehensive work on these feature improvements can be completed.
What happens to page links that I’ve already shared with other people?
Previously shared links to single pages of notes will automatically expire as of June 15, 2018. After this date, recipients of shared page links will no longer be able to view these pages, unless a recipient has already been given access to the full notebook containing a previously shared page. Notebook owners can restore access to any previously shared pages by newly sharing the full notebook with collaborators. Alternately, you can create a separate notebook that contains copies of only those pages that you want to share, and then invite others to that separate notebook.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this feature deprecation may cause.

Like so many others, I have a huge notebook that contains everything. I am a Project Manager, full-time student and father of four so staying organized is crucial. This feature, along with being able to collapse sections, section groups, pages with sub-pages etc. would significantly increase the usefulness of the Windows Store App.

I think it would be great for teachers who want to share a specific section or page with read only or edit rights for a student. You wouldn't necessarily want to give them editing rights to the whole notebook, but a page or two for groups to collaborate on without altering the rest of the notebook would be great to have.
I use OneNote notebooks shared on a Sharepoint server to facilitate collaboration at my work. I can manage access rights in Sharepoint only on tabs and not on pages. This limits collaboration. I also would like that a user can modify the content only he has created.

in response to Omeed's post:
I'm a student and have one big OneNote notebook for all things study related. So most of all I store my lecture notes there but also a list of grades I got so far, or deadlines or other personal remarks that not everybody needs to have access to. Each class has its own segment where each individual session has a page and last term's classes are stacked into a section group, e.g. "1st sem". Some of my classes have group projects, so there likely is a page for that project. I want to be able to share this specific group project page and its potential subpages (!) with my group.
We use OneNote extensively in my work place and the inability to share just a section or page is very frustrating: the end result is either not using OneNote or creating a new Notebook for every time that you need to change user scope. Within this particular app, creating a new Notebook *feels* very big and it very quickly feels like you're going to get lost within all of your notebooks. If this would truly imitate the way that real notebooks would be used, rarely if ever would you have 20/30+ notebooks over the course of a few months, at least not the way that I use them. It would be nice if you could simply share a section or page with a group of people, even if that is only possible in a more limited, share-via-link-only kind of way.
My wife and I share To Do lists, Shopping Lists, etc... via One Note. This would be a far better feature if we could share individual sections or pages from our respective notebooks.

I teach 8th grade Math. I'd love to be able to share certain sections of a notebook so that I can have prewritten sections made, but reveal them in a coherent timeframe. I don't want to give my students access to certain parts of the notebook until we are ready to see them based on prior understandings.

Omeed, with search that works so well, I would really like "One OneNote to rule them all" instead of having to create a new notebook any time I want to share with others. If I could share a folder or, equally as good, a folder group, I could keep everything organized the way I want without having to create a new notebook. That would be great! I use OneNote in an enterprise environment and am trying to convert everyone around me to be OneNote users as well.
Yes, I posted on another forum about this earlier.
Please do this!
The only reason I avoid oneonte on android is that I have a snips section, with all the screenshots that I take for any reason, and it's way too much data for a mobile device!
Its so easy to share a single note with Evernote...
So many time I just need to share a note with someone, make it easier!
RIght now I've created a "sharing notes" notebook but it obligues to copy the note to that notebook, delete other notes that notebook has and only then give the share link... its not functional.
I too would really like the ability to share pages and sections instead of only sharing entire notebooks.

Yes; I'd like per notebook, per section and per selection-of-pages sharing settings

I believe that individual pages can be shared separately by emailing them from OneNote, but this is clunky.
I would like to be able to share an individual page with a link (shortened or not) and different permissions for that link. Similar to how items in OneDrive can be shared with the public. I should be able to generate this link from the desktop and Windows 8 applications.
At the moment I keep track of a bunch of projects under one "notebook," and each project has their own pages. The notebook is the company these projects are for. I can't share an individual project's notes, or a single page (say Scrum notes) from that project. I can't even link directly to a page! A work around is to create a new notebook that is shared and copy the page to that one, but this is also clunky.
