Ability to share individual sections or pages (instead of entire notebooks)
Vote for this if you want to be able to share an individual section or page with other users, instead of only being able to share an entire notebook.
Shared Links to Single Pages of Notes is being removed
We recently removed the ability to share single pages of notes. The previous single-page sharing implementation from personal OneDrive notebooks was our initial attempt to begin building out the larger feature set. However, this first step didn’t satisfy the needs of our customers and, compared to full notebook sharing, usage of the limited page sharing feature was very low. The technical path we need to take to build out the full OneNote page sharing experience requires us to deprecate the previous functionality until comprehensive work on these feature improvements can be completed.
What happens to page links that I’ve already shared with other people?
Previously shared links to single pages of notes will automatically expire as of June 15, 2018. After this date, recipients of shared page links will no longer be able to view these pages, unless a recipient has already been given access to the full notebook containing a previously shared page. Notebook owners can restore access to any previously shared pages by newly sharing the full notebook with collaborators. Alternately, you can create a separate notebook that contains copies of only those pages that you want to share, and then invite others to that separate notebook.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this feature deprecation may cause.

I'm a teacher who loves the class creator tool. However, the one thing missing is the ability to make a one note section available to parents and selected peers so that we can use OneNote for learning journals/e-portfolios. We know that powerful partnerships like these can greatly influence outcomes for students. At present we have to use another tool to achieve this, it would be so nice to incorporate all of this into OneNote.
Yes please, also agree. I want to share notes with my classmates but I don't want them to have access to my entire notebook.
This would be a great feature, it would also be great if just a page could be shared.

As a PM it would be great to share individual sections and pages. For example, I have a Notebook labeled work, then I have all of my open projects as sections and the different parts or aspects of that project as pages. I have different programmers, technicians, etc. on each project. I don't want to have to share the entire notebook just to keep them in the loop and collaborate with them on their respective project... and I don't want 20 different notebooks to have to contend with. It doesn't seem efficient that way.
We need this fn... what may seems like insignificant fn, is likely going to be the reason our organisation disqualifies the tool for collaborative PM.

This would make the notebook SO MUCH MORE functional. Please do this

I use a Class Notebook (from OneNote Class Notebook Creator) and love so many things about it. I want to have students work in pairs (or groups) on a multimedia assignment that is shared with each other in their OneNote notebook so that it is easier for them to collaborate. At this point, the only way that I see that they can do this is to have them work in the Collaboration section. This is not a great solution because every student in the class can see, copy, or edit these pages. If one student could create the page in their personal section of the notebook and share it with their partner(s), would be a much better option as this would ensure that their work is private.
As my district has paid for O365, I switched my classes from a competitor to OneNote (with no regrets), but that competitor does have this function and it is a shame to not have it in OneNote because OneNote is a much better program.
Please add page sharing to OneNote as I plan on using this in my classroom for years to come
What's happening with this proposal? Why is this even up for debate? Being able to share individual pages or sections is an imperative if you have confidential information you'd rather not share with everyone in other parts of your notebook. Please can we have an update on this, as the discussion seems to be as dead as the vote button.
I need this ASAP, have to resort to google docs ATM
This is essential, otherwise it is not possible to use onenote as a Project Management app for teams. Hurry up with the update
Yes please !!!
I want to be able to share OneNote meeting notes with participants of a meeting, but not let them see any other pages/sections. We have a shared notebook for our team, but there are things in there we don't necessarily want to share with other teams because it can get misinterpreted or misquoted.

As a student I was amazed to find that I could not grant access to my study partner for our collective assignment without giving her access to edit all my notes from all my classes from years back. I suppose I'll have to make a new notebook for this purpose alone and copy and paste a lot.

Would love to have this feature to share a single page of to dos for my assistant. I could adding and amending to the list (at my desk or on my iphone with app) an they could check off or add more tasks with out having to send me an overview of progress email, or sending multiple emails that you have to go an find when adding a new task. Easier to share one page than creating a notebook just for them and having to flip back and forth.
I would love to be able to share who tabs and to give edit rights to only give certain sections of my Notebooks

Much needed to share notes with other people. I don't want to share the entire notebook with them.
YES PLEASE ADD!!!
From a project management standpoint it would significantly increase its practicality, allowing the user to have a private section versus shared section within a notebook would be indispensable!
Add this, it's much needed. It's not as efficient to switch between entire notebooks just to have someone need access to 1 page.
I would like to selectively share the sections rather than creating a new notebook and than have to switch back and forth between the shared one and non-shared ones. If I have section that I can share, I can be in the same view all the time and can quickly edit and move from one section to another. It will be a GREAT PRODUCTIVITY BOOST for all OneNote users out there.
