Ability to share individual sections or pages (instead of entire notebooks)
Vote for this if you want to be able to share an individual section or page with other users, instead of only being able to share an entire notebook.
Shared Links to Single Pages of Notes is being removed
We recently removed the ability to share single pages of notes. The previous single-page sharing implementation from personal OneDrive notebooks was our initial attempt to begin building out the larger feature set. However, this first step didn’t satisfy the needs of our customers and, compared to full notebook sharing, usage of the limited page sharing feature was very low. The technical path we need to take to build out the full OneNote page sharing experience requires us to deprecate the previous functionality until comprehensive work on these feature improvements can be completed.
What happens to page links that I’ve already shared with other people?
Previously shared links to single pages of notes will automatically expire as of June 15, 2018. After this date, recipients of shared page links will no longer be able to view these pages, unless a recipient has already been given access to the full notebook containing a previously shared page. Notebook owners can restore access to any previously shared pages by newly sharing the full notebook with collaborators. Alternately, you can create a separate notebook that contains copies of only those pages that you want to share, and then invite others to that separate notebook.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this feature deprecation may cause.

Take all my votes. The lack of this single function is what is preventing me from switching over from Evernote. While I much prefer Onenote as a notebook / idea creation tool in general, it pretty much just serves as a whiteboard for me while I use Evernote to organize my notes since I need to share almost all of my thoughts with several different parties for several different reasons. I tried having a "Shared" notebook where I copy notes that I wanted to share, then share that notebook, however this process was much more cumbersome than Evernote, especially when It came to sharing different notes with different interests. I don't want to constantly be mindful who has access to a "shared notebook" and what content I am putting in that notebook. I think of each Notebook, Section and Page as a separate work space. I build an idea, then want to share that idea with some else so they either 1) have the information or 2) are able to collaborate and add to the idea. Forced sharing on a notebook level makes this really, really cumbersome. It is easier to copy and paste or Skitch into Evernote, then just share the Evernote page. I don't yet have a Surface Pro, but the tight integration of Onenote + Pen + Inking is amazing. Between the malleable and flexible Onenote interface, inking support, audio capture, video capture, and OCR from image capture, you have made an amazing idea capture tool. The other half of the puzzle is easily sharing these ideas and getting feedback from others. A tool that can pen click, note take, whiteboard picture w/ocr and share with team without creating conflicts by sharing other information that is in that same notebook would be a must have for most people I know. I understand that from a technical perspective, it is really difficult to track pages when people move them between sections and notebooks, but hey, you guys are super smart. Please, please, please make this adjustment.
this would be great. As a project manager I have sections for each client and there are specific pages for that client that I'd like to share with my team.
We want this feature. There must be an option to share only a page and/or subpage instead of whole notebook.

Is sharing only available per notebook? I'd like to share just a page...can that be done? I'm not finding any directions or help online for this.
Totally agree, I have an event coming up where each Vendor has a page I store info about their presentation under the actual events tab and organization notebook. I would like to only share the their page with then to add information about their presentation, not the entire events notebook. Nor do I like creating a notebook for each vendor when they only need a page.
I totally agree that this is a long overdue feature that is needed for the continued success of OneNote. With O365, OneDrive, and the "cloud" in general - sharing selectively from a OneNote notebook is a must have.
Yes, Yes, and Yes. I was a MAC user, advocate, and enthusiast for over 10 years. The past 5 years have had me slowly moving closer to Microsoft....yikes.
I feel if you added this feature I could truly, without crossed fingers, recommend windows to a friend. ;)

I work for two separate organizations that are like brothers - related and friendly. A single notebook for similar issues, speeches, thoughts, approaches is useful to me and I'd like to share the material between groups. But there will be times when certain material will have to be annexed. The ability to share that material with one group and not the other would be convenient, rather than creating and updating two separate notebooks.
Oh, that was JULY when you were thinking about a way to send individual sections, tabs, and pages. Now it's February 2015. I really need this function!
In our organisation there is a core team that uses a OneNote Notebook to manage many aspects of the organisation. One important use is the preparation of briefing documents and proposals for meetings, each stored as a OneNote page. For some of the meetings the team would invite non-member experts for consultation on specific topics. In these situations it would be extremely helpful if we could share those briefing pages with the external consultants, rather than sharing the entire book which would not be appropriate.
"definitely considering this feature"
The fact that OneNote's "Notebook" Scope is so massive makes it a shock to learn that you can only share the entire notebook. We really need this feature to compete with other cloud sharing apps!!!!
Evernote does have "single note sharing" .
I like OneNote better .. but the lack of this option does make me go to Evernote for many cases..

It really makes no sense to share entire notebooks with even colleagues.
One Note is useful ONLY if individual "tabs" or "sections" can be shared. My One Note has major personal information I would never share; however, there are tabs that I must share - and I use Evernote for those. I would rather use One Note!
I would like to be able to share a notebook with my team members, say of meeting notes or project availability, but I don't want them to have access to, or even see, any of the other notebooks that I keep as they are, in some cases, personal notes/info.
This is a major flaw in this application in my opinion.
I'm a student and want to be able to work on certain sections with other group members, not the whole notebook! For example I'll have a notebook as my University subjects and within the notebook a section for just one subject I want to be able to share this subject! not all my subjects!
THIS IS A MUST
this all goes to how people choose to organize notebooks. For me, it's organized by large topic and I sometimes need to share a section or even just a page with others. I don't want to share the entire notebook because that's just TMI for those people.
This is deffinitly a needed funtion.
Guess it's back to google docs....
