Ability to share individual sections or pages (instead of entire notebooks)
Vote for this if you want to be able to share an individual section or page with other users, instead of only being able to share an entire notebook.
Shared Links to Single Pages of Notes is being removed
We recently removed the ability to share single pages of notes. The previous single-page sharing implementation from personal OneDrive notebooks was our initial attempt to begin building out the larger feature set. However, this first step didn’t satisfy the needs of our customers and, compared to full notebook sharing, usage of the limited page sharing feature was very low. The technical path we need to take to build out the full OneNote page sharing experience requires us to deprecate the previous functionality until comprehensive work on these feature improvements can be completed.
What happens to page links that I’ve already shared with other people?
Previously shared links to single pages of notes will automatically expire as of June 15, 2018. After this date, recipients of shared page links will no longer be able to view these pages, unless a recipient has already been given access to the full notebook containing a previously shared page. Notebook owners can restore access to any previously shared pages by newly sharing the full notebook with collaborators. Alternately, you can create a separate notebook that contains copies of only those pages that you want to share, and then invite others to that separate notebook.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this feature deprecation may cause.

I'm a writer. I write original stories, fanfiction, keep an archive of roleplays and stuff I post at roleplay forums. Sometimes I'm doing a co-join work on a story with someone and I don't want to share a notebook that's full of stories when all I need is to share one section (one story). So I'm forced to create an entire new notebook only for that story so I could share it with the person and be safe that the person is not going to change my other stories.
A word counter and a find and replace tool would also be very helpful.
I am using it as a digital binder in my classes (I am high school teacher). But one of the things I do in class A LOT is have students work in groups. They then have to produce a product in groups as well. We have used google docs in the past because it has real time sharing and collaborating capabilities. However, my kiddos have fallen in love with OneNote and are wanting to work exclusively from there. But at this time we are unable to have multiple students working from a single document with OneNote. I realize we can share an entire notebook but my students have worked so hard all year on creating a comprehensive portfolio of their work, I would not want the kids to open up their entire notebook and its contents to another student. Information could be lost, stolen, copied, etc if they had unobstructed access to the entire notebook. If we were able to share only a single page, then the students could share the one page and still protect the rest of their notebook from other students.
Working on projects, some part of the notebooks are related to the key suppliers, and others are for internal information only - I'd like to be able to share some of the information with the suppliers so that we can all update collaboratively, whilst sensitive information is not shared.
R&D Manager managing may technicians on many projects ... one section per project dream of sharing it with each technician ... too many different notebook not great ... also wish to share a unique page or a unique section ... if not Ill go back to Wrikes ...
I would like to share a notebook with my class of students and have a section that is their private section to share work with me. Having to create 25 separate notebooks is for too complicated and time consuming.
We have two situations where this would work great: a rotating inside sales team (giving them exposure to different parts of the globe) and a teaming effort with multiple engineering experts.
This type of feature is so easily done with google drive. Which is why we always end up using it over onenote. Many notes are personal and you don't want to always share EVERYTHING, which is why it is a huge hassle to make a whole new notebook everytime you want to share or collaborate on a topic. Please add this ASAP, and understand that realtime collaboration is a key feature of a note taking application going forward. Thank you.
Working as a consultant I find that I have different projects with different stakeholders. In order to protect their info, I currently have to create three different workbooks to implement the security requirement. It would be so much easier if I could do it at a tab level.
I would REALLY like to see this feature implemented. Here is an example of how I was wanting to us it. I have a notebook for each client, and within the notebook there are tabs about specific projects. I take notes and keep a running checklist of tasks for sub-contractors in OneNote during screen sharing check in meetings.
It would be great if I could share just the page for that one sub-contractor so they can mark tasks complete and add notes.
Right now I can't do that because they can see all of the other information as well. We want to use pages tabs, or sections as a wiki.
Especially when each page separate password protection help us not show some more important page rather than whole section
Password production of single page, provide more personal security feeling to us
echo everyone. I teach onenote and would like to have some section available for sharing and others not.

I actually utilize OneNote regularly. We have a team OneNote that has some proprietary information but would like to share event action plans that I create under sections and share with other collaborators and partners who should have access to it. It would be such great functionality and make utilizing OneNote incredibly more useful if this were able to be done. Even if someone didn't have editing privileges but could see updates and the latest notes, that would be so useful! I would absolutely love to see this feature added. Happy to assist with any feedback, beta-testing, or further sharing.

I am an engineering manager I have a section for each project my team is tasked with, I would love to be able to share the sections of projects with other managers, PMs, and staff. Now I have print PDFs or convert to word which doesn't always transfer properly depending on what I have in the ON.

I have a notebook for personnel for my staff. Each section is a different employee. In each employee's section there is a page for To Do list. I would like to be able to share that page with each staff member.

This would be a great addition

This would make a perfect online help for an application.
Content Editors would have the tools to easily keep the content updated without any special knowledge.
Online apps can link to specific sections or pages.
Users would be able to benefit from the structure, the ability to export to PDF can make it easy for users to get full copy of the application help.

I am a developer and I have a work notebook and a personal notebook. I need to be able to share sections like resources, tips and tricks, tutorials, best practices etc.
Since each notebook is under separate microsoft accounts I have to keep duplicate copies to be able to access such content. I do not want to login an out of each account to access a piece of information in each notebook. If there is any other solution, please advise. Have a dedicated notebook for content of mutual interest does not work ( yet another notebook!). Section sharing should have been build-in since the first release.
Please, please add this! I would find this immensely helpful!

I echo other comments - I keep a notebook for specific subject area's and contain project specific materials in Sections. It would be very useful to share the section with a co-worker, but only the section or a note without sharing my entire workbook.
