Ability to share individual sections or pages (instead of entire notebooks)
Vote for this if you want to be able to share an individual section or page with other users, instead of only being able to share an entire notebook.
Shared Links to Single Pages of Notes is being removed
We recently removed the ability to share single pages of notes. The previous single-page sharing implementation from personal OneDrive notebooks was our initial attempt to begin building out the larger feature set. However, this first step didn’t satisfy the needs of our customers and, compared to full notebook sharing, usage of the limited page sharing feature was very low. The technical path we need to take to build out the full OneNote page sharing experience requires us to deprecate the previous functionality until comprehensive work on these feature improvements can be completed.
What happens to page links that I’ve already shared with other people?
Previously shared links to single pages of notes will automatically expire as of June 15, 2018. After this date, recipients of shared page links will no longer be able to view these pages, unless a recipient has already been given access to the full notebook containing a previously shared page. Notebook owners can restore access to any previously shared pages by newly sharing the full notebook with collaborators. Alternately, you can create a separate notebook that contains copies of only those pages that you want to share, and then invite others to that separate notebook.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this feature deprecation may cause.

It seems very counter-intuitive that this feature won't be there in the software at any point in time.
I will give you a use case. I want to do all my long term (and some short term) note taking on OneNote. Seems fitting as the name literally suggests that. For that purpose, I have built a "Personal" notebook. This has sections like "Quick Notes", "Health", "Journal", etc. "Quick Notes" has pages which are relatively long-term notes but cannot be grouped into a larger category. Now as I am working on some light research work helping a friend for a certain situation, I'm taking notes. Where do I put them? "Quick Notes" to the rescue. I create a new page inside that section and do my work. Now I am ready to share my work with my friend. In fact, it would be really helpful if he can chime in and do some more edits on that page as well. And it would also be really easy for me to just share the page with a shortened URL and then forget about it. But I cannot do it with the current feature-set.

One more vote. Come on now, I thought this was supposed to be collaboration software...
This is a deal breaker for us in a collaborative work environment. I was going to go with OneNote for our team organization, now I'm going to go with something else. This is such an obvious basic functionality. Evernote does this brilliantly and they did it without thousands of users needing to beg for it. Back to Evernote for us.
One more vote. Section sharing is a must have. Page sharing is a close second, but a nice to have.
Come on. How is this not a thing. It is the first feature request that shows up if you sort by "Top". So many people want it and it's such an obvious feature. Do you expect me to create a new Notebook for every single Person I want to work together with? I would have hundreds of Notebooks and it would be a huge mess. It cannot be THAT hard to implement something like this. Come on!

For One Note to be fully used to its potential, section sharing is an absolute must. It is redundant to have to create new notebooks every time you want to share a section with a specific person.

At the very minimum, there has to be a way to share a particular page, in a manner where the other user can also edit/update the page. You can simply look at how Google's Keep notes function. Due to this limitation in Onenote, I end up using keep notes when i want to create simple grocery lists or todo lists that needs to be shared with family. These are simple yet useful features and if Microsoft can't enable them, well then they are missing the mark.

How could I not share a single section or page? What really??
More than one year and still no progress
This feature is the top required one in this forum.
100% agree with this. One of the reason's I'm paying for Office is to create client notes in a single notebook, with each client having their own section. I then was going to share each client's section with them, but I don't want all of my clients having access to the other clients' records. This seems basic. Any updates on when this will get fixed?
Need this for sharing meeting notes with individual attendees!
There should be a way to share sections or pages as sometimes sections are departmental and pages are for sub-departments.
I agree. It is pain to create notebook specifically to share only one section of it
What has happened to this feature? Its been 4 years. We pushed for the Stylus support for the iPad Pro and after 4 months they implemented it.
We NEED section-only sharing !!!

Sharing sections alone is a must option. Sometimes you only want to share the sections like 'Weekly Activities' rather than the entire organization notebook.

It is a good idea to share a particular page instead of sharing the whole notebook.

Hi, a blog post giving an update on this would be great to read.
I'm very much looking forward to being able to share weekly to do lists with my department and meeting minutes with other managers that we can keep "live" and all contribute to. Additionally being able to import PDF drawings and have field engineers mark up with a stylus on their iPad and share that back those specific pages to my team would be invaluable.
I know a few other people at my company are "kind of" interested in using OneNote to manage their teams and I think rolling out the ability share only specific pages would significantly improve my chances of persuading them to use OneNote and improve collaboration.
At the very least, allow sharing of individual sections in addition to entire notebooks. I can understand if sharing individual pages is too granular of an approach, but this "see entire notebook or see nothing at all" approach is crude and terrible for UX.

Sharing meeting minutes should happen automatically with all the people on the invite. Sharing of a single page or section should be supported. Create a special Notebook that supports this functionality, so every user gets their specific shared pages into "their user's" shared notebook.
