Ability to share individual sections or pages (instead of entire notebooks)
Vote for this if you want to be able to share an individual section or page with other users, instead of only being able to share an entire notebook.
Shared Links to Single Pages of Notes is being removed
We recently removed the ability to share single pages of notes. The previous single-page sharing implementation from personal OneDrive notebooks was our initial attempt to begin building out the larger feature set. However, this first step didn’t satisfy the needs of our customers and, compared to full notebook sharing, usage of the limited page sharing feature was very low. The technical path we need to take to build out the full OneNote page sharing experience requires us to deprecate the previous functionality until comprehensive work on these feature improvements can be completed.
What happens to page links that I’ve already shared with other people?
Previously shared links to single pages of notes will automatically expire as of June 15, 2018. After this date, recipients of shared page links will no longer be able to view these pages, unless a recipient has already been given access to the full notebook containing a previously shared page. Notebook owners can restore access to any previously shared pages by newly sharing the full notebook with collaborators. Alternately, you can create a separate notebook that contains copies of only those pages that you want to share, and then invite others to that separate notebook.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this feature deprecation may cause.

We need this function FAST!
These types of "intuitive" tasks are what separate a leader in technology from the rest of the bunch. Failing to respond to what is clearly a requested feature quickly and efficiently is the symptom of a much larger problem.
I agree with the guy's point before me...

I was absolutely amazed that this isn't a feature. I have large notebooks that I utilize and some people only need access to a single page of the notebook. If this feature were to be available it would be a great help to me.
Absolutely idiotic that this is not a standard feature.
hey guys. really?
This is your NO 1 request by far! 6000+ votes, the next item has less than 2000. How can you ignore this and not even give an update?
It seemed two years ago you had a plan. Now nothing is happening. At least tell us what's it gonna be. Otherwise we need to look into alternatives...

Almost two years down the road from this statement, but no timeline for a feature implementation in sight yet? A Notebook page needs to be shareable, and if part of a Meeting for Minute taking, it should be shared automatically with edit rights until locked down by the owner of the Notebook to change the setting to read only. Creating dozens of Notebooks every month to share with all the different crossfunctional teams you have meetings seems the only workaround which creates a complete mess …
today, i tried to solve a problem together but i had to remove my private studies to another. it was very inconvenient. please fix. it is very important feature for note. irl, i don't give my friend my whole note. i just rip it off and give her.
****** stupid what a bunch of idiots

So much crazy in this. I've contacted MS ON on twitter, here, directly to their team, on FB to inquire about this and all that I've found it is mentioned in a slide as coming in the next year and half on YouTube from January. So hold onto your pants. It just may come out sooner than expected.

Badly needed feature for a note keeping app.
Dear OneNote Team
You Deprecated single page sharing in April 2018 to get it done properly, that was nearly 2 years ago...
When will we receive the promised functionality?

This is nuts. How can onenote be so good and yet so bad?
Why would they remove this!!! I dont want to share my entire notebook just to share 1 page!
Another vote from me, this is a key feature before I can fully adopt one note. Box wins out again
Another vote for me. I hope someone is listening. Seems silly to not have this feature
Another vote. Let's get this basic functionality back into OneNote please.

What possible good is a sharing app if you have to share ALL you notes with EVERYONE. Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea? This has to be one of the dumbest things Micro$oft has ever tried to do. No One in their right mind would want to expose every note they take to everyone shared with in the company. You made a great tool totally useless!
Just Curious, to the CEO, do you share your OneNote notebook with your entire company? I'd love to see how well that works for you!!!
How about MS buy out some notes sharing app, put it into a module of OneNote. whatever pages we shared to other people are tracked in that app, but link those pages back to original source, so MS can auto update them if we changed page content in our book. This way we can track what pages that were shared out, and be able to receive comments and update our private books.
Hmm, is sharepoint and/or MS flow can be programmed to do that already? but can that be made to the OneNote menu intuitively?
I had written thousand of pages and books to keep track of my notes for work, was wondering why I have to create different books to share to people in different organizations. This make knowledge sharing harder, as some are specific to area of work.
I want to be able to share an individual section or page with other users, instead of only being able to share an entire notebook.
