Ability to share individual sections or pages (instead of entire notebooks)
Vote for this if you want to be able to share an individual section or page with other users, instead of only being able to share an entire notebook.
Shared Links to Single Pages of Notes is being removed
We recently removed the ability to share single pages of notes. The previous single-page sharing implementation from personal OneDrive notebooks was our initial attempt to begin building out the larger feature set. However, this first step didn’t satisfy the needs of our customers and, compared to full notebook sharing, usage of the limited page sharing feature was very low. The technical path we need to take to build out the full OneNote page sharing experience requires us to deprecate the previous functionality until comprehensive work on these feature improvements can be completed.
What happens to page links that I’ve already shared with other people?
Previously shared links to single pages of notes will automatically expire as of June 15, 2018. After this date, recipients of shared page links will no longer be able to view these pages, unless a recipient has already been given access to the full notebook containing a previously shared page. Notebook owners can restore access to any previously shared pages by newly sharing the full notebook with collaborators. Alternately, you can create a separate notebook that contains copies of only those pages that you want to share, and then invite others to that separate notebook.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this feature deprecation may cause.

Sharing sections alone is a must option. Sometimes you only want to share the sections like 'Weekly Activities' rather than the entire organization notebook.

It is a good idea to share a particular page instead of sharing the whole notebook.

Hi, a blog post giving an update on this would be great to read.
I'm very much looking forward to being able to share weekly to do lists with my department and meeting minutes with other managers that we can keep "live" and all contribute to. Additionally being able to import PDF drawings and have field engineers mark up with a stylus on their iPad and share that back those specific pages to my team would be invaluable.
I know a few other people at my company are "kind of" interested in using OneNote to manage their teams and I think rolling out the ability share only specific pages would significantly improve my chances of persuading them to use OneNote and improve collaboration.
At the very least, allow sharing of individual sections in addition to entire notebooks. I can understand if sharing individual pages is too granular of an approach, but this "see entire notebook or see nothing at all" approach is crude and terrible for UX.

Sharing meeting minutes should happen automatically with all the people on the invite. Sharing of a single page or section should be supported. Create a special Notebook that supports this functionality, so every user gets their specific shared pages into "their user's" shared notebook.
This feature is very much needed for team collaboration. It is a setback in promoting Microsoft among my team. I was hoping section sharing would be rolled out sometime but now I am very disappointed.
We need this feature. Would help in team collaboration

In a company you don't want all employees to have access to all the data, and creating separate notebooks for every department/role is very unconfortable...
Please add this, it would be a killer feature
Poor OP has been waiting for this for 4 and a half years... Any progress? Any updates on how it's going minus one to tell us that even what we had (read only sharing) is taken away.
It would be great to get even a small update before this reaches 6000 votes (i.e. 3 times the number of the other most popular ideas)
There must be some deep-rooted technical reason in the design of the app to make this is virtually impossible, because I see no reason why a team of devs who can write the rest of this app can't build this feature.
Just an update is all we ask. Just something to say "yes we really care about the issue that the biggest number of our users care about, and we're trying to make it work, and we think we'll get it done this year."
Can there be an option to chose to share a single page and the whole notebook? It would be good to have both options. I have certain groups of people that only want certain information

We need a way to add just a single section to a channel, without having access to the entire OneNote notebook. We want to use this for project management, but we can see every project instead of just the one we want on that channel
I would love to share single pages. It is a must have to efficiently collaborate with others.
Add this back! Such an amazing feature we need. If this was added back this application would be the ultimate note taking software.

Wrong! We dont promote a new version and at the same time removing features existing from the old. That a very bad decision. Even it is low in your stats it was a very uefull feature.
This seems like an obvious and necessary feature. At a minimum, you should be able to share a Section.
I don't know if this has been said already (no, I didn't read through all 1466 comments), but it would be nice to be able to share a collection of pages (not a single page, and not an entire section) and a collection of sections (not a single section, and not an entire notebook) in one link as well. In any case, having any level of granularity below the notebook-level sharing would be nice! +1 from me!
Why should I have to create multiple notebooks? And why would I want to share my ENTIRE notebook when some of the sections could be personal?
