Connected Shapes (as in PowerPoint)
Drawing even simple diagrams is a pain with OneNote, because the shapes are not connected. Hence rearranging a drawing is very labor intensive. It would be extremely helpfull if there were a number of connector shapes in OneNote (like in PowerPoint), which connect shapes in a way that the connections are maintained when the shapes are moved arround
Additionally have possiblity to easily arrange shapes / groups of shapes. Select shapes --> have tehm aligned in e.g. column with orientation middle, left edges, or in a row and distributed evenly.

Minimally the ability to group and ungroup objects would be nice so that if text or an object is added within an existing document, it doesn't thrown off the entire alignment (especially as images currently cannot be arranged in 'wrap' around format
Yes, just implement what is already present in other apps: boxes with text and connectors
OneNote already has some simple shapes. Simply extend that shapes functionality to include functionality already present in Word and other apps. Specifically "connector" type lines.
Why have you not simply imported the shapes code from Word (or other app)?

If this gets implemented, mind map would also be available!

How I wish I could high light text or stuff I clip online and be able to resize it, move it around without the high lighting or drawn circle staying put where the picture was earlier. User of OneNote 2010 Bussiness
Yes I second this request. I believe it is referred to as "SmartArt". However, I would like to further the request to provide features similar to what's available to Visio flowcharts, but I don't want to hijack WetHat's request. ;)
