How can we improve OneNote for Windows?

OneNote prints double Euro signs (€€)

When hitting ALT+E (Euro symbol on German keyboard) then two Euro signs (€€) are printed instead of one. The problem appears only in the Desktop OneNote app shipped with Windows 10.

I have taken a look at this and using a German keyboard layout, pressing the right Alt + E only prints a single Euro sign. This was tested in both OneNote for Windows 10 and OneNote 2016.
