  2. Remove section and pages, let user to decide if the note needs a sub

Right now, we have to do 5 clicks in order to begin my note. 1. click account; 2. click class/site; 3. chose a section; 4. chose a page; 5. begin to write.
Most of time, we use OneNote as one stop note for pop-up idea and brainstorm. 2-click should do the work. 1. chose account; 2. begin to write.
Why not let users to decide if he/she needs a section or page for the idea?

  3. Expand/Collapse all option in the Tag Summary

Expand/Collapse all option in the Tag Summary. It doesn't make sense that I have to manually collapse each tag before I create a summary page. It's also inefficient to have to scroll through all tags to get to a tag. Then, after collapsing all tags, once I exit OneNote, they all expand again. At least the default should be to have it collapsed.

  7. layers

having layers or templates. You could save each layer in one notebook. or have different versions of the same thing.

Example: you have one box drawn, but then layer one is a box drawn with x. layer two is the same box, but now drawn with x and y. Layer 3 is the same box, but now drawn with z. A quicker way to illustrate possible new ideas and scenarios

  8. Text is always in back: OneNote for web does not honour "Order" of objects

If you "Bring to Front" or "Send to Back" text or graphics on Desktop, it works fine, but on web it has no effect on text. On the web, text is ALWAYS behind drawn objects no matter what you do. This is just nuts. There is also no option to "Bring to Front" on web. Why? Why is text always in the back and not on top?

  9. \mathcal

\mathcal and \mathbb do not work currently in the equation editor. Most other Latex commands do work. If it doesn't work, it would be nice to add. If there is another way to do it, it would be nice to have a reference documentation on the commands and how they differ from regular Latex.

  10. OneNote export functions (App + OneNote in Onedrive for business)

OneNote in Office 365 / OneDrive for business, is missing export functions. Same with the OneNote app.

Please implement the export functions that the desktop app has (export onenote package, whole notebook, export to pdf, doc, etc. )

  12. Allow "." (dot/point) in notebook names like "1.1 page", "1.3 page"

In OneNote Online it is not possible to use correctly "." (dot/point) in notebook names like
    "1.1 page"
    "1.3 page"

You can create such a notebook name, but it is displayes as "1"
(= everythink after the first dot is cutted)

Seems to be a bug since such notebook names are allowed and correclty displayed in
    1) Win10: OneNote 2016: yes
    2) Win10: App.OneNote: yes
    3) Win10: OneDrive in WindowsExplorer: yes
    4) Office 365 (Online) Sharepoint (Teamwebsite): yes
    5) Office 365 (Online) OneNote: NO

Can you please allow "." (dot/point) "." in notebook names everywhere in every OneNote app/Website/Desktop app?

  13. Ability to add multiple subsubsections based on user requirements

Right now - 30th June, we have the hierarchy as Notebook -> Section -> Page
Instead, it would be awesome if the user can create multi-layered section at will rather than pages

    Notebook -> Section -> Subsection -> Subsubsection -> Page

  15. Word Count

I know this is already posted, but I just wanted to say that it is a bit time consuming to have to paste all of your text into a Word Document, so you could add a 'Tools' section as well, and include Word Count into that section (just like Microsoft Word)

  16. Google Classroom Integration

Our school is heavily reliant on Google Classroom. The LMS setup is great, but it would be beneficial if each student's notebook showed up as a clickable icon next to their name. I need for my students to be able to access their work as efficiently as possible. Many students will get confused if they have to go to a different area to find the work. If there is a tutorial out there that can show me how to do this, please let me know. I have not, as of yet, found one.

    Thank you!

  17. We need an easy way to report malicious pages.

We need an easy way to report malicious OneNote pages. We get links to onenote pages on a regular basis that contain phishing links. Most are smart enough to know better, but others arent and there is no built in feature to report a malicious page, which is ridiculous. As an administrator, this is insanely frustrating. Google has a simple link on their Google Drive pages that say "Report" and boom, its done.
