Onedrive online search: this is desperately missing on the online function. I have so many folders and the lack of search feature is crippling on the online version. Please add (I usually sign into onedrive which strangely can search my onenote and then locate the file that way)

It will be more efficient to insert files directly from OneDrive into OneNote. You have this option for Microsoft Forms and Exel. This way, I do not have to open my OneDrive, download the file from OneDrive, then insert it into OneNote.

Please add the ability to search for tags as you can in the desktop versions.

Also support the idea of tags being collated on separate tabs EG, to-dos, sprinkled amongst meeting notes getting summarized in one place. Ideally all tags on a tab would get sorted and summarized on a page in the tab.

When I add a new note in the OneNote apps or OneNote Online, the new note is created at the bottom of the section. Id like to see the default configurable. Placing new, recent notes at the top of the section makes more sense because they are in the forefront of your thoughts, ideas, plans.
Then when I access or create notes across all devices, my most recent notes and thoughts are immediately accessible when I open the section.

If it can be done from OneNote from an outlook account why isn't it in the 365 suite? It's very useful to be able to export and import notes and notebooks as zip files.

We have the ability to create sections online but not section groups. It would be awesome if there was either an additional button to add a group or an option on the naming popup that lets you choose section or section group.

Allow users to modify and add Custom tags in the web app just like the desktop app. Also, the web app tags should Sync with the desktop tags.

Please kindly increase the onenote online load performance. It's really very slow and nearly unsuable.

When creating a table in OneNote, it would be great if we could merge cells. Even copying a table from Word will split up the cells.

Today, it is finally possible to see the equations I created in the desktop version of OneNote. However, to fully take advantage of the online version, it would be welcome to insert new equations online.

Similar to ideas submitted for Android and Windows, and already functional for iPhone - It'd be great if you could hide completed tasks in a task list.

Basically, once the checkmark is checked the item should either disappear, move to another page or move down the list perhaps.

Intergrate One Note with Microsoft TODO and Outlook E-mail, Calender and Outlook tasks

When I'm working with OneNote Online, it's not easy to be able to just drag and drop pages to different sections, the way it is on the PC application.

It would be nice to allow @mention for naming the right persons in a note, for tasks, but even for every note you create. This will help to find persons in a right way (without typo's) and find all tasks related to a person.
