  1. ink to text conversion on ipad

Add ink to text conversion. It appears that some platforms support ink to text conversion, it is a must-have for iPad, too. It appears it was commented on in the digital ink/handwriting idea.

  4. Mind map functionality in OneNote

Mind maps are great for note taking and structuring ideas. Having this ability in OneNote would make OneNote THE place to take notes be that in text paragraphs, picture, annotations or mind maps!

  6. Please add “Ink to Text” to OneNote for iPad!

Please add “Ink to Text” to the mobile version of OneNote for iPad! As an Office 365 subscriber, that’s the one and only reason I would ever use this app. People take handwritten notes on Tablets – not on desktop computers. Having the option to convert handwriting to text only on your desktop version and not on the mobile version makes no sense.

  7. Bring ink math assistant to iPad

Please bring the Ink Math Assistant from the windows store edition to iPad. There are no real good math inking apps on iPad yet. Being able to graph handwritten functions or converting them to text would be super useful!

  8. How about a page size option.

How about a page size option. It’s crazy trying to print out hand written notes. At least allow for an a4 guide so we can keep our notes to a page size .

  9. iOS: Make tags searchable

Please make tags searchable on the ipad as they are on windows. If I can't search for them, then they are pretty much useless.

  10. On screen ruler

I would love to have an on screen ruler to draw straight lines (other mathematical tools are also welcome!). That way: taking notes with the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil will be even more enjoyable using OneNote!

  11. iOS 11 Full Drag and Drop Compatibility

Gives OneNote (and hopefully any other Office365 applications) the ability to drag and drop files, images, and text from other apps on iOS 11 for the iPad.

  13. Upgrade the apple pencil experience.

I love everything about OneNote for iPad except for the main thing that I use it for, which is the apple pencil. PLEASE look at apps like Notability and recognize that the handwriting/drawing experience is so much more enjoyable/precise/better looking than OneNote. The OneNote handwriting is so clunky and handwriting looks so sloppy with the current pencil options. This should be such an easy thing to fix, please for everyone, do it!!!

  14. Sync hand writing notes with audio recording on iPad

I have used Onenote on the surface pro 4 and loved it. But the experience on the Ipad Pro is lacking a major feature: audio recording while taking notes + sync playback with the note taking. When you start the audio record in Onenote on the Ipad you can’t do anything else... Is there something I’m missing? If not, Microsoft please address this! Otherwise this is a great app and I love being able to move from the Ipad to my Pc and find all of my notes.

  15. iPad: Add support for a Bluetooth active stylus for inking

Thank you for adding handwriting support to the iPad app (19 Feb 2015). Now could you please support one or more of the bluetooth-based active stylus's available for iPad (e.g. Adonit Jot Script, Wacom Bamboo Stylus Fineline)? This would improve precision.

  16. Automatically recognize Apple Pencil and switch to "draw" or "pen" mode.

OneNote's default method for entry is the keyboard. However, when using the Apple Pencil, OneNote treats it like a touch input. It's not until you click on the "Draw" menu and select a tool/pen/maker that it will start to ink.

It would be great to be able to just start writing when OneNote detects the Pencil and not have to manually switch over to the to pen tool. Microsoft has already implemented this in their PowerPoint app.

    Let's see it for OneNote.

  17. Please support pressure sensitivity and "Pencil" for Apple Pencil

It's obvious that Apple Pencil is pressure sensitive. When I'm writing with Surface Pen, the things written look natural, but on iPad, it doesn't. This makes me want to give up using OneNote cause the inequality of the experience across the platforms.

Also, there are only pen and highlighter in the iOS version, but the Windows version has an additional pencil option. Things written in pencil are displayed as pen on iOS.

  18. paper size options

I wish I could choose page sizes like A4. Infinite note is great but sometimes it’s confusing. I use onenote on a laptop, a smartphone and an ipad and 100% scale is different on each devises. when I edit something on the laptop it’s wide and on the smartphone it’s narrow with 100%. I need universal size.

  20. Microsoft Mathematics capabilities to be built in (and equations displayed on iOS/Android apps)

Microsoft Mathematics is fantastic. It should be built into all versions, including the iOS version (including ink equation entry). At the very least, it should display equations written in windows on these apps.
