Mac: Page Templates
Vote for this suggestion if you'd like to have page templates for your notes in OneNote for Mac, similar to the templates feature that is available in OneNote for Windows.
Thank you for the feedback. Everyone should have this capability with the newest update.
You can now make any page within a section the default template for it, simply right click on any page, and select “Set as Default Template”.
If you’d like to remove the template for any section that has one, right click on the section, and select “Remove Default Template”.
Note the remove template option only shows if a default has been set, else the option won’t be available.
The default page template is not what I was expecting. I thought it would be like the feature for Windows.
It would be incredibly helpful if there templates, a way to upload new templates that can you download from the web, upload cool note page designs that you can find on the web as well as cover designs.
This really is an adulteration of the general use case for templates used in OneNote - the Mac user community is asking for the equivalent function that is available in the Windows version - clear and simple. With the advent of O365 it is no longer reasonable or valid for MS to maintain separate feature streams. please listen in the voice of the user and implement the feature requested
this solution is a joke
Please reopen this ticket and provide templates for Mac version. This is a performance enhancement in Product Management language. Your product should have the same functions and features across all versions you support.
This is still not possible for the mac please reopen this ticket
haha nice try!!! Sorry this ist NOT the answer to the requested update. We need the same options as the Windows users.
Looks like "give a ****" on this topic is broken.

This ticket isn't Completed, the functionality added does not match the use case that this ticket addresses. Please add real templates!

What is the status of this function? It says completed, but the given solution from "Admin" is not the requested one.
Cannot believe OneNote don't have templates functions on Mac, seriously? Does this mean if I want to use this function I have to switch to a Window laptop? (sigh.........life should be less complicated, no?)
Need the A4 template/borders for mac... why is this not a feature yet????
This was dated 2014.
It says we should have the function in nthe next version.
Its now 2020 - where is it?
why are the 2 versions so very different? Makes no sense. Mac users want efficiency too. Templates are so helpful.

The Windows templates are what we need, not a default page. I use multiple templates in each section.
I can not believe after FIVE YEARS this is what we get. I'm now officially done with OneNote - does anybody know a good alternative?
RE: "complete" response from OneNote Team on November 06: This is NOT the feature that was requested!!! We wish for the SAME EXACT template functionality as offered in the windows version.
The functionality you are announcing is not AT ALL what was described.
I think you misunderstood OneNote team. We want to be able to insert templates just like the Windows version.
Amazing! Thank you
