Use multiple Microsoft accounts from Mac app
Use multiple Microsoft accounts to onenot app. For example one accoutn can be related to work and the other is perdonal. This feature is already available for Windows users. Kindly add this feature for mac too.
need to more than one account in onenote app in Mac os
The issue seems to stem from the single login limitation of OneDrive or the lack of an easy switch mechanism. While you can connect multiple services or accounts to OneDrive....(in fact, if you've managed to successfully sync TWO OneDrive accounts to your Mac - as I have - from the same tenant but that have different domains, OneDrive will automatically detect the additional OneDrive account; it shows up when you click on your profile picture)...because of the limitation of a single login, you don't have the permissions to open up the Notebooks from the other OneDrive account.
Thanks Ciaran O'S...worked just as you instructed.

@ciaran THANK YOU SO MUCH.
I have been wanting to do this for years -- having my personal and work One Notes open at the same time. Your explanation was great. Not sure when this feature came out, but it's great!

This is totally possible already, albeit a pain to find.
In the bottom left of OneNote on Mac there is profile type icon, click it.
Add the OneDrive service that hosts the Other/Multiple OneNote data repositories
Then use File -> Open and Browse to the Notebook
You can then switch between Notebooks from the top left beside the Three Books type icon.
I have not been able to find a way to stay signed in to multiple accounts at one time. When I use OneNote on my iPad or laptop and then log in to my desktop, I have to log in to the account that was edited one my iPad or laptop. if that account is not already logged in. Its' a real pain to switch between accounts. I use both on a regular basis!

I have multiple Microsoft accounts. I would bet that many of us do. We have work accounts, and many of us have a personal account.
If I want to look at my notebooks on my personal account, but I'm currently signed in as my work account, I have to sign out and sign back in.

I don't want to sign out and back in to switch between these accounts. Unless I've missed it completely there is no way for Mac users of Office software to track (add, update, or remove) multiple accounts. You can only be signed into one account at a time.
Not sure exactly what you mean, so apologies if this is not the function you need, but as far as I know it is possible to add accounts and then assign a notebook to whichever account's onedrive you wish to store it in when you create the notebook, if that makes sense?
