The ability to hide and show specific navigation panes
With the new OneNote layout you can no longer choose whether you want to hide all navigation panes, if you want to show pages or if you want to show both sections and pages. We want that function back.
Also vote this if you in general think the OneNote team should prioritize adding new functions instead of making changes in the navigation, that nobody asked for.
I don't see how removing an option that doesn't hurt people who don't need it is improving the product. :( Please help us reclaim our screen space!

"Pages Only" was really helpful when you had a ton of pages and needed to quickly move between them and wanted the extra screen real estate taken up by sections.
Please bring it back!
Agree. I was working in OneNote for many hours today. All of my work related to a particular subject I am studying at Uni - i.e. a particular SECTION of a Notebook I have. Throughout the day, I was constantly switching between PAGES of this particular section of the notebook. I did not change the SECTION I was working in the entire day, yet I changed the PAGE I was working on many times.
It would have been incredibly useful, therefore, if I had been able to hide the SECTION navigation pane. It was irrelevant to display, and took up vital screen space.
Many (most?) university students use 13" laptops.
Screen space is limited, and what gets displayed should be carefully chosen to maximise efficiency.
Please add the functionality that allows us to close the SECTION navigation pane while keeping the PAGES navigation pane open.
I should be able to hide the SECTION navigation pane - I am n
"Pages only" should come back, please.
I completely agree on the layout and the needless changes to navigation. I hope they take it on board.
I am aware that I can hide the navigation pane but I want to be able to show pages only, like I said in the description.
You can still hide the navigation pane by clicking on the "notebook icon" at the top left corner of the screen (underneath paste button).

This. Why was it removed?
