OneNote for Mac should be fully like OneNote 2016 client
OneNote for Mac client should have all the features and functions of the Windows OneNote 2016. One of the biggest fails is the ability to Store notebooks on your local hard drive instead of in the cloud, including backups.
The biggest fail of the OneNote road map for both Windows and Mac is making both versions a stripped down shell of what it was. Instead of removing features of OneNote 2016 for those who purchase Office suites, OneNote should have all the new features that is going into the "free" version and retain all of the features supported by the 2016 client

As a person who makes notebooks on Windows during the day, and adds to and refines them on a Mac at night, I would *really* like the features of OneNote on both platforms to be harmonized. For example, making links on the Mac is painful compared to Windows versions. I also love the math/plotting feature in OneNote on Win 10 and wish the Mac version had this. Finally, I would pay money for the ability to save notebooks locally in addition to the cloud. This feature would be worth doubling the cost of Office 365 to me.

Will uninstall OneNote until this gets addressed. Terrible oversight!!
Guys,Please have a look on this idea
I think it will increase interoperability between mac and ipad/iphone
Please make OneNote for Mac have all the features of OneNote on windows. I hope someone will listen to our please and not force us to start using awful tools like evernote etc.

Please fix searching by hashtags on mac, when I search for "#hash" it searches for "#hash", "hash" and "#", unlike windows version

Including such small things like searching by hashtags, when I search for "#hash" it searches for "#hash", "hash" and "#", unlike windows version

Agreed. OneNote is completely useless without being able to save locally. It is a complete failure and I've uninstalled it.

also, supporting Apple text replacement please... What's wrong with Mac OneNote? Shame!
Especially Outlook integration. There is a business case for Microsoft as well because then people will use Outlook for calendar and tasks more! Oh, and search functionality for tasks (tags) like you have on Windows where you get a list of all tasks in your notebook, page or section.

I have updated to the newest version, and I can see the icon changed. However, it always shows "connecting" and then it becomes "Not responding", and I have to force it quit by Activity Monitor. Please make it more stable, thanks!

I would especially like to see the improvement of export/print features of OneNote for Mac. Specifically (all the following is implemented in OneNote for Windows 10):
1. OneNote for Mac is still unable to export/print the ENTIRE notebook/section. So we have to export/print the notes one by one
2. OneNote for Mac cannot export the paper style to PDF or printer
3. The content exported is enlarged (bigger than 100%) and it often exceeds the paper width
Please add multiple accounts support. Thanks a lot!
Scanning. PLEASE add the ability to scan directly to OneNote. How can it be so hard, or take so long to add this simple (and critical) feature, especially if Evernote has had it for years?!?
Add Sticky Notes support for Mac with sync to the cloud and maybe also the old clipping menu for Mac
I'm beginning to get used to (but still dislike) the fact that all my tabs are on the left. I liked them on top as they were in the 2016 version.
It should also have the integration with Outlook in it - I used to add reminders in Outlook for things I had to do, with the flag feature, but can't seem to do that now either.
Please add templates and the ability to create a summary page of tag search results
This pretty much sums up my feelings on OneNote for Mac. It lacks basic features that Windows has, like exporting notebooks and Outlook integration.
