Mac: search for tags
Need equivalent search system to Windows version. Being unable to search on tags makes the Mac version half as usable. What good are notes if you can't find the information when you need it?
Not looking for OS level tagging or fancy tag structures as in the other requests posted here, just want useable, equivalent features.
You can now create custom tags to insert anywhere in your notebooks. For more information on custom tags and searching custom tags, read this blog – Custom tags available soon in OneNote.
Also, tags in your notebook and pages now appear in your search results.
Searching via tags! Why not on the mac?

Please add TAG SEARCH into ON for Mac!
My apple students are being turned off by lack of functionality
I have been experimenting with emoji on OneNote as a replacement for tags. You can even enter a tag in the search field. However you cannot scroll multiple occurrences on one page. again: useless: we need tags as on the windows version
Microsoft I am longing for the search on TAGs this is needed. OneNoge is a great product but without the search on tags: forget it.
Fully agree.one should be able to look for tags. Erik
Tags without the ability to search on them are nearly useless.
PLEASE implement this! The Windows version has had this for years, the Mac version is very UN-useful without it (at least for me)
Tags are not very helpful if we can't search by tag.
Most immediately the 'to do' tag does me little good unless I so a work-around such as and a unique word to put at the start of each 'to do' item, search for that unique word, and scroll down the note to find the 'to do' items. A huge waste of effort -- which you know. Fix this, please.
How should i use tags if i can't search by them?
Please, add this feature.

I'm a big fan of OneNote and I think it's one of the best note taking apps out there. But this feature is essential to use it full power.
Being able to search for tags is critical. I want to be able to go to one place to see all my incomplete tasks and the like. There needs to be a TASK View and a view for each of the other Tags. Having to link every one is a huge time suck.
Great piece of software Microsoft, but please let us have searchable Tags. I have been looking for this for a long time. Why is it that the Windows version has had this ability for a ages. Some of your recent Apps and integration have helped me to view Microsoft in a better light, but this one is weird

Unable to search tags? I just found this out and can't believe the idiocy at MS. I use this at work on a PC and at home on a Mac and am baffled.
Building tags without the ability to search is like building a car with a brake pedal, but without an accelerator. Absolutely useless.
Now that I've shared in the venting here, I'm off to paste this feedback into the official feedback "smiley face" to MS.
Tagging individual line items is what's keeping me from moving to Evernote, but not being able to search on a tag, or view all items of a specific tag defeats the purpose entirely for me. Also, Custom tags would be absolutely amazing.
Yes, I have the same issue. But at least I have a workaround: I decided to use Evernote instead of this sh...t.
I had the same request for Mac 2016, and I see that more than a year earlier Stacey was asking for this function. So much for Microsoft r Microsoft doesn't care about Mac users. How pathetic Microsoft h along with 381 other mac users. Why does Microsoft have to so petty.
This is a serious defect.... please fix it!!!

Seriously, this isn't supported in the Mac client?

Whoa! Just discovered no searchable tags in Mac version of OneNote! And apparently, it doesn't appear to be on the short list?
i'd also add without the tag edit function, much of the same issue, of little value without being able to customize tags.
