Have a "Recent Notes" option like on the mobile versions.
Thank you for your feedback. This should be available for everyone with the latest update for OneNote for macOS. See this video

I don't see the Recent Notes icon...
(On OneNote 2019 v16.26)

How is this feature not available yet? We're approaching 2020, and you already have this feature on the iOS version of OneNote!

Yes, please add a Recent Notes section like on the iOS versions
This is a core advantage of Evernote over One Note and the one thing that would send me back to Evernote

Adding my support for this request. It would make finding documents much easier if there was a quick menu of all the recently added and modified pages.
It would also be helpful if we could sort pages by date, name, etc.
OneNote for iOS has a great Recent Notes section with the ability to pin notes. It is fantastic for shared notebooks and for users with many notebooks/pages. Please add this useful feature to the MacOS Desktop version.
this suggestion already exists
Seriously. When working really fast, I often just need to view most recent notes, so as not to have to think about organization.
adding my vote here.
Brian, you point to the Windows Version. That Feature Request points to the Mac Version.
What's the holdup on this??? OneNote for Mac USED to have it! http://itgroove.net/oh365eh/2016/07/28/recent-notes-button-onenote-app/ So what's that about? Yes you have the History Back function, but that steps through one at a time, without direct selection of page title from a list for quick easy comparison. COME ON, it's ridiculous not to have this. Can it really be that hard to add? Thank you for your consideration and you're welcome for our patience.

Please.... this is an incredibly helpful feature in the Windows version.

Those days I switched iCloud note to OneNote due to Apple compromises iCloud in China (they are gonna migrate their data from U.S. to Guizhou China in 2018).
And today I got amazed that OneNote does't have a way for me to find my latest edited note in Mac OneNote.

How could I find my edited notes from iPhone in my Mac OneNote? It's essential for me while just lazily switching editing from iPhone to Mac.
iPhone Note has that be default.
This is absolutely essential. When out and about on mobile I take many notes, some new, some on existing pages. When I get back to the office, I want to be able to see a list of pages that have updated like on the mobile version.
Please consider adding the "recent notes" function into MAC OneNote. It is very handy for me.
Also made the switch from Evernote to OneNote, Liking it but what is missing is the "Recent Notes" option. Great that you can open recent notebooks, but jumping around from topic to topic, I would like to see recent notes regardless of notebook. Just like the "recent notes" option on the iPad version of OneNote.
An essential workflow step.

I notice this was implemented in July in the Windows version. Definitely is needed in the Mac version. I need to be able to easily pick up where I left off, but the software doesn't assist in doing this.
Nobody remembers which notes they were editing last, except for maybe the last one or two. It's a pain in the derriere to go through the navigation system to find them, and search has been made less immediate by being shunted into the notebook navigation area.
Thus some immediacy is required when looking for recent notes.
Please give us Mac users parity with mobile & Windows here.

I notice that there are three other similar suggestions for a total of 54 votes - i hope you combine them.
I think it is also important to make sure "recent" considers edits from all sources, not just the one you are using at the moment.
When i edit a note on the Windows desktop app, currently it does *not* show up as "recent" in the OneNote Android app on my phone.
As a long time user of Evernote, one of its greatest features is that i can immediately resume work on my most recent task, no matter which device i am using.

Totally agree -- I find myself looking for this feature EVERY single time I use the Mac OneNote. It's on the mobile version so can't be difficult to implement!
