Currently a checkbox can be either checked or not, but sometimes additional states are needed (ie: in-progress or invalid). There are also alternate types of checkboxes indicating "priorities." It would be nice if this was expanded such that one could right-click on a box and change its state (new (empty-box), complete (checked), in-progress (a -), invalid (X) and priority (normal, high, low, etc). This could be combined with an enhanced version of custom tags (not yet available on Mac) to give more functionality across all platforms.15 votes
Help us out!!! We appreciate that you have spent time on UserVoice giving us feedback on how to improve OneNote tagging. We’d like to hear more!!! Click this link to help guide decisions around custom tags. The survey will take less than 3 minutes. All answers are anonymous.
Ability to sort sections, pages, and tags...1,199 votes
Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. Here are some of the results of the survey –
• Sorting is needed for pages, sections, and notebooks
• Sorting should persist while navigating, after close of notebook, across all devices, and be seen by people they share the notebook with
• Current OneNote users want the following sorts – alphabetical, date created, and date modified
• We heard from a lot of users who wanted to set section lists and page lists in a sort that they wouldn’t change often, but there was also a set of users who mentioned that they would want to live in a certain sort order, but switch to another sort order as an aid to locate specific items within their list
Thank you again for your responses. This information helps us understand the experience we need to build to match your needs.
I am looking for a real cross PC/Mac tool. Evernote was great for me .. but not in a mixed, business environment - we have office 365 .. which is now a really productive tool now it is on iOS92 votes
