A new universal OneNote app with Material Design for android
Will Microsoft make a new universal OneNote app for Android just like you did on iOS this month (July 2015)? Evernote has an awful Windows desktop app, but OneNote's current Android universal app is even worse. Compared to the iOS version, OneNote for android just like an unfinished project.
Text format editing tools is hard to use on phone compared to the new office app for android.
The auto sync is awful, and the sync process is way to slow. (A lot of people complained about this on Google Play and you android beta community on Google+.) The new Windows Universal app is way much better.
The page zoom scale is limited on phone. As an user, I can't zoom page to fit its width. For example, I open the "OneNote Basics" page, which is one of the two default user guide pages in Onenote 2013, and I can't see the whole first picture without moving the page. This is ridiculous.
The UI is still Ice Cream Sandwich style (mixed with Windows Metro). Actually if you compared OneNote for android with other popular note taking apps in Google Play store, you will find its UI is one of the worst.
The navigation between notebooks, sections and pages is inefficient on phone.
I love OneNote 2013 and the new Windows Universal OneNote app on Windows 10. Before I switch to OneNote, I have paid Evernote Premium for 2 years. Evernote has a great android app and web clipper tool, but its awful windows desktop client and Windows 8 modern app are slow and outdated when I got hundreds of notes. Now OneNote for android force me to use Google Keep on light note taking. Please put more effort on OneNote for android.
Just see how many user rate 1 to 3 stars on Google Play in the past one month, it tells everything:
